    Do you want the US to buy Vietnam? Haven't Vietnam learned the lessons "being a enemy of the US is dangerous but being a friend is fatal" just ask Dr Kissinger,do you want a enemy on your doorstep that's what China is wary about US exerting so much influence in Vietnam that one day the US will set up base to contain😊 Chna as what they have been doing in countries around south of China, it's all geopolitical play by the US to cast China in a bad light,why would Chinese want to buy Vietnam? It's just doesn't make sense, doing business and investing is totally different from colonising, it's too long to write and going to end here but a wise man will always be wary of a wolf in sheeps clothing have a good day.

      I totally agree with you, Martin. Doung, is a little bias if you ask me. He’s bridging US with Vietnam, can’t blame him. He’s as he says is an American attorney. In US, you never trust the words of an attorney. Money talks. Not sure about China wanting to buy Vietnam. I see them as wanting a business partner. I do however feel Doung is ready to sell Vietnam to US

      Very well said. If the Vietnamese think thst the US can be a true and sincere friend, go ahead and regret later. As if tge Vietnamese have forgotten how their country was bombed to smithereens during the Vietnam war. The US is only interested in Vietnam because of it proximity to China. It plans to use Vietnam to encircle China. And finally uses Vietnamese to fighting its proxy war just like Ukraine.

      Multinational companies are fleeing China. If Vietnam does not want those companies leaving China to invest in Vietnam, then Vietnam can always decide to be closer to China. Multinational companies will then choose to invest in India or Mexico or Philipines instead.
      While Vietnam is having a net trade surplus overall, Vietnam has a net trade deficit of about USD40 billion with China. So China sucking away Vietnam's money rather than helping Vietnam.

China is too big for Ameica to push around, so they go around the neighborhood to smaller countries to generate fake news and hatred between peoples divisions so they can easily insert control anf colonizing your a smaller countries. . If anything, Vietnamese hate China from the core of their heart (read Ho Chi Minh's utterances in this deep-seated sentiment of Vietnam). During Vietnam war, they had to co-habit with China as a necessity, because the common enemy was America ! Now things have changed & tables have turned. PRC had to blame herself for this turn of events and "none else". It shows that PRC has to learn a lot in global diplomacy (instead of her bribing her way to be friendly with others) & is a novice in that - being lost in her own megalomania.

    There are fantastic trade opportunities for Vietnam. My wife was born in Vietnam and we live in Australia. Unfortunately, there has been quite a lot of corruption in the past and many successful businesses have been extorted. I hope this changes as the the Vietnamese have made a great contribution to Australia and I hope we can do more business. I alway do a fist pump when I see made in Vietnam instead of made in China. @@Lee-vb4vh I truely don’t have an answer to that. Australia isn’t free from corruption, but it is one of the least corrupt countries in the world. I would only be speculating. The only second hand experience I can speak of is stories of friends who visit Indonesia and traffic infringements a forgiven via a cash payment. Nobody in Australia would ever consider this here. Not that there hasn’t and isn’t police corruption here, but it’s extremely rare. I guess, once corruption is commonly known and accepted, it is extremely hard to stop. My extended family said, if you manage to get a successful business established in Vietnam, if it’s too successful, you may either have it taken off you or be coerced into handing over some amount of revenue. I haven’t been to Vietnam for 11yrs. Their economy has been evolving and modernising rapidly. I’m hoping it’s been changing for the better. I’d love to see family, friends and the whole of Vietnam succeed.

    • @Lee-vb4vh
      @Lee-vb4vh 8 месяцев назад

      @@kitatit ok great thank you for interesting info. I think there are various ways corruption grows or is unchecked. From all government and business levels, a country's justice system needs a mechanism and enforcement to keep corruption in check. Easier said than done in some countries. If Vietnam or other nations want increase tourism, international trade & investments, then definitely government needs to have law and legal mechanism to be publicly known and enforced. In USA, a traffic ticket can be appealed with a court appointment before a judge. I think police officers are sworn in not to take bribes. So anti bribing penalties check corruption, since police can lose their job, be fined, and face jail time. There are other forms of corruptions that requires checks and balances. Continued blessings kitatit

    Just like Korea , Vietnam was controlled by other colonists if you look at the past. The atrocities what the Chinese, French and the U.S did to Vietnam is the result of poverty to the country. Due to its strategic location in South East Asia unlike Cambodia and Thailand. I hope the big powers can leave Vietnam alone so that they can live peacefully and grow. Please Ken make sure to tell the government not to take in too much money from foreign powers especially government to government investment. Allow only private investors to invest in Vietnam. This will ensure safety for the coming generations to come.

Agent Orange is a chemical herbicide and defoliant, one of the tactical use Rainbow Herbicides. It was used by the U.S. military as part of its herbicidal warfare program, Operation Ranch Hand, during the Vietnam War from 1961 to 1971. It is a mixture of equal parts of two herbicides, 2,4,5-T and 2,4-D.

      Yet, China ruled Vietnam as a vassal state on and off. Vietnamese can't forget that part of history. I think that connection is enough to form strong opinions (attitudes) on both sides. I know that Ho Chi Minh's didn't "love" China or PRC but felt it was expedient at that time .

    Here's the truth! Vietnam's long standing history is undeniably unique and fascinating, which has radically reshaped our world today. Under the command of the great Mongol general and statesman Kublai Khan, the Mongol Empire peaked its power controlling roughly 28 million sq. km of territory, stretching from the Pacific Ocean to central Europe, which is more than 3 times of China's land area and almost double that of Great Russia. And, the Biblical epic David versus Goliath actually came true when the mighty Mongol Empire was bitterly defeated by the tiny Vietnam at the end of the 13th century. In fact, the Vietnamese are the one and only people in the human history that had triumphantly defeated the mighty Mongol army not once, not twice, but three times, forever ending great Genghis Khan's dream of conquering the entire world including the whole Asian continent. The history didn't end there. Vietnam is also the one and only country in the world that had successfully defeated all the powerful Chinese feudal dynasties including Qin, Wu, Han, Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing, who had waged aggressive wars against Vietnam for thousands of years. Furthermore, who could forget the Dien Bien Phu Battle, which eventually brought an end to French colonial rule in Indochina and many parts of the world? Most importantly, even the 5 great American presidents spanning over 20 years could not deter fearless and resilient Vietnam from gaining its independence and freedom. Recently, to teach "Vietnam a lesson", Chinese statesman and military commander Deng Xiaoping sent a human sea attack of over 800,000 Chinese troops from the People of Liberation Army (PLA) to aggressively invade Vietnam in the Sino-Vietnamese War 1979. However, having faced the unwavering fearlessness and resilience of the Vietnamese people, Deng Xiaoping utterly failed to achieve his goal of capturing Hanoi in one week, and the invading Chinese troops were unable to eat their "breakfast in Hanoi, lunch in Hue, dinner in Saigon" as previously planned; not to mention the genocidal Chinese-backed Khmer Rouge regime with over 10,000 Chinese military advisors in Cambodia, having been crushed by the Vietnamese troops in a lightning military campaign in 1978. According to nationalinterest, "The Chinese war intended to "“teach Vietnam a lesson”". History tells a very different story, and China was crushed by Vietnam in the 1979 conflict." Although Vietnam is small, it has never been a weak country. The Vietnamese people had successfully regained their independence and freedom even after more than 1,000 years of tirelessly and fiercely fighting against all the powerful Chinese feudal dynasties. China has had more than 4,000 years, and still does not have the ability to conquer Vietnam, so China should never ever think of pursuing its outdated and backward ideal of Greater Hanism to invade Vietnam! The Vietnamese culturally know about war much better than any of their mighty enemies, and Vietnam's 5,000-year history has solidly proved whoever invades the country shall face consequences. The fact that Vietnam today is still Vietnam standing tall, says it all.

      Here's the truth ‼️ you don't really understand History and how wars function ⁉️
      One of the reason why they're able to unified is from very important outside support ⁉️
