I’m nearly 58 but VR has turned me back into a kid again, I’ve had the psvr for a few years now but my wife bought me the oculus quest 2 for Christmas, having loads of fun 🙂
54 got a pspro and VR system not quite 3 years ago. Got an original Quest not quite 2 years ago. Finally got a VR capable pc not quite a year ago. I was completely obsessed with it for a good six months and still spend a good couple of hours a day in VR on average. One of the best things for me is how much it's inspired me to learn more.
55, got a Pimax 5K+ (upgraded from Oculus CV1) with 2080ti PC and have been playing Elite Dangerous since 2016! I'm really hoping Star Citizen is VR compatible when (or if) its officially released (also hope I'm still alive by then)!
@@cardcounter21 I hope for this also, would love to do some cargo runs in my freelancer max with VR support. I'm on a 12900K and I had to disable my E-cores for my game to be smooth as butter on star citizen because the game does not know how to utilise ecore's yet.
I’m 72 and just got the vive xr elite and a custom velztorm galax and usually spend 8 hours a day running through all these simulations and games. I treat it like a full time job and gives me inspiration to keep going and stay healthy.
The height wouldn't be my worst problem. I'm more afraid of the fact to be dependent of the tools, suit, machinery to be working in space. And we all know how this turns out on earth already...
I'm a 56 year old woman who is petrified of heights, this is beyond scary and so real. But this was hilarious when the camera floated off I was in stitches. Definately worth ago if you want a scary but enjoyable experience.
🤣🤣🤣🤣 that heave you did when the hatch opened showing the earth the first time killed me!! My wife was listening off to side and laughing her ass off too. Great vid! 🍺
Played something like this in the early oculus DK2 days and it was nuts. Couldn't stop myself from spinning and just had to nope out. Terrifying having no up down left or right.. just spinning freely without any resistance.
You are a brave man - knowing from the start that you're afraid of heights, and launching yourself into space. I got genuinely concerned when things went wrong on your spacewalk. Aannnnnddd.... this is something I will probably never try myself.
Being afraid of heights too, I can definitely appreciate this video. This had me laughing pretty hard especially your reaction when things started breaking up. Funny thing is I keep looking for flight sim games. I have Playstation VR and I'm just getting used to Ace Combat 7 vr. Just ordered Quest2 a few minutes ago.
You did a LOT better than most players of this game. You actually made it back to the Quest airlock, but kept thrusting, and got away from it. Nicely done, though. It's possible this may be a "no win scenario", though. Thanks for sharing.
I had a similar reactions in Horizon Call of the Mountain. There is a moment when you have to jump and swing on a rope at the great height. I could do it only after I sat down and leaned my back on a sofa. I could not do it while standing.
I watched your videos on the game Population One as I was wondering with your fear of heights how you would handle that one. You did a whole lot better than I did on my first few games. I was basically just collecting gear for the other teams. As I get geared up with great weapons 3 and 4 star ones then they would kill me and grab my gear, LOL. I didn't get my first kill till after several games. I would inflict damage on them but they would kill me before I could kill them. That bloody red barer, I hate that. I keep getting hit by that and it all but kill my shield. I'm afraid of heights too and the flying don't bother me much but running and jumping off the very tall tower gets me every time. It is a fantastic game. I love playing it.
Well, Beardo, you made it further than I did, I chickened out at getting on the Canada Arm. And I was sitting down at the time!! By the way, if you had chosen to do the easy, you would have spent some time exploring the I.S.S. before doing the space walk. But thanks for showing me what I missed!!
I played through lone echo and was like, "space? this sounds fun". Maaaaaaan, it laid me out on the ground when the spinning started. I feel like I was spinning faster than you in my play through.
it's crazy how different the human mind can be, VR does not feel real to me, my real life fears do not translate into VR, yet i watch people almost fall over doing things like the plank walk.
Whats massively wrong with this game is your travelling at 17,000 miles per hour orbiting the earth but the earth is not moving. It stays in one place. You should actually be orbiting the planet through light and dark
so you did miss out this old expirience before, i never guessed it, the elevator is crazy , if you wank to try one level harder try flying aircar in standing mode, i guess you know low fi ? ;)
The images in this program are so beautiful, but the real view if earth is about 50% cloud covered. The picture of the Earth on Al Gore's book was edited!
Oh benjo….. cmon your better than that…. Your spinning forward…. So pull back to stop spin! Then to airlock … smh 🤦🏻♂️ u better upload another with u completing this! And no sitting!!!

That has been my feeling as well. I feel like the first time I used a computer as a child

It cracked me up the way you reacted when camera rolled away from the toolbox omg so funny lmaooooi
@ 8:51 . Lol!! When you opened the case and the camera flew out... and you were like - "Uuhhh..?" Rotflmao!!
Looking at the handle/door: "What is this for"
Meanwhile the camera slowly drifting away out of his peripherals..
Golden moments.
1:33 I was thinking the next prompt window would go like..
*Are you really sure?*
😂😂😂

I did the Mission: ISS experience once and that was bad enough, I don't think I could do this one. You are a brave soul.

This was literally the second thing I did in VR, with Quest 2. It was amazing.
🤣🤣🤣🤣 that heave you did when the hatch opened showing the earth the first time killed me!! My wife was listening off to side and laughing her ass off too. Great vid! 🍺

Being afraid of heights will not affect you at this height as you're so high you don't realise as you have no reference from the ground !
That was quite entertaining
Thank you 😁

I have always wanted to go to space. I need to try this.

On the bright side Benjo when you get far enough away it is no longer high, it is simply far... Really far.
That was super cool thanx Benjo
I you like this, I highly recommend you to play Lone Echo as well.
I LOVED Lone Echo, both of them, brilliant games
Oh no. Your camera! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Its brokeeeen!
Is there a standalone Quest version of this? Or something as good?
This looks fantastic I need to download this to try for my self :D
Prepare yourself for some very wobbly legs 😅
@@BeardoBenjo lol yeah that might be a problem especially since I've got a fear of heights as well 😆

Super nice looking game.
Looks pretty impressive for a free 2017 vr game, will have to test it out.
Subbed btw 👍

That was pretty funny. Well done mate.
Well this game is devenitly inspired by the movie Gravity 😂
150%!
Is this game on the quest app?
Hey there Ben! Hope you and your family are all together and safe, and Have a very Merry Christmas!!

I love this video so much 😁😂 I'm no fan of heights either
i cant wait to play this game i wanna see if i get scared
Great format, glad you try other VR content as well.
BBC Home looks intriguing for sure
I will sit on a stool when I try this one. The roller coaster ride seemed to give me vertigo and this looks even worse.
Almost sounds like Michael Judge on the com. Who doesn't want to do a mission with Teal'c!
I tried to find this on the quest 2 store but it doesn’t show pls help
This one is just on Steam sadly, so you need a PC to play it
I'm in space! spaaceeee .....
We need a proper portal VR
you say to every game this is the scariest i ever played 😄
I got the Jelly Legs at that part too!!! It's insane how much that spin effects your equalibrium!
Great video, I tried to find this App and could not find it. Could you direct me?
I cannot find this game in the store??? It's called Home? Nope, not finding it. Did they remove it? Any help?
it's crazy how different the human mind can be, VR does not feel real to me, my real life fears do not translate into VR, yet i watch people almost fall over doing things like the plank walk.
I feel some people are more sensitive to the 3D stereoscopic effect
ye for sure that's what interests me about it all, I oculd pet spiders in VR but put a tiny one near me IRL and naaaaaaaa
"Can you survive?" I asked the same question when I played it via Museum of Other Realities. I died also.
gave as the link of the game
Loe this app. Scary mission
Anything over ten feet in VR turns my legs to jelly🥴many a time I’ve almost fallen over😂

downloading now :D
What app is it??????
Brown trousers?
I would only want to go to space if we were starwars advanced
Even then I'd be shitting myself the entire time 🤣
can’t find this on the oculus store ….???
Keep your knees slightly bent, might help.
What’s the game name
Is this free?
Loved the British Brainwashing Corporation comment 🤣 I don't watch it no more. I'm GB News now, hilarious moments 😆
so you did miss out this old expirience before, i never guessed it, the elevator is crazy , if you wank to try one level harder try flying aircar in standing mode, i guess you know low fi ? ;)
Tried the other free one on quest store, couldn't do it 🤢
What game is this ?
Its a BBC Spacewalk experience on Steam lol, its called "Home - A VR Spacewalk"
The images in this program are so beautiful, but the real view if earth is about 50% cloud covered. The picture of the Earth on Al Gore's book was edited!
Bearbo Buzz they call him.
Downloaded from steam and it keeps crashing. Guess I'm going to try the Oculus store.
I tried playing and it keeps crashing
Yes I died too, got stuck trying to get back.
I tried Adrift once... If my body isn't in one orientation, like Lone Echo, I'm all like 🤢🤢🤢🤢
beardo benjo......
Not real but damn near impressive
Try it again, I want you to LIVE!!!!!
I did shit in my pants when i played this
I didn't know astronauts did this in real life, this is terrifying.
I thought he was faking or over exaggerating everything at first ,never seen someone react like this !
Because it’s like you’re actually there in space even when you aren’t and it does seem scary
Hi
Meter shower!
I’d have to play this lying down 🤮
👍🏾👍🏾
Oh benjo….. cmon your better than that…. Your spinning forward…. So pull back to stop spin! Then to airlock … smh 🤦🏻♂️ u better upload another with u completing this! And no sitting!!!
Looks cartoonish.
Really?!? Damn, didn't feel that way playing it. Its free if you've got a headset, worth checking out
Big Brainwashing Corporation is about right Benjo. Do you watch Hugo Talks?
Don't swap one fear merchant for another. Less hyperbolic commenters out there than the BBC or Hugo.
What shall we call meta? Biggest datacollector since history? But critic on BBC sad sad.
