According to fans online on twitter, the story is that the girls were kidnapped, by the man showed at the beginning & were forced to perform in front of him since the beginning (thats why the pull the chair in front of them before performing) through the years, the girls happened to not like each other, thats why the fight and argue during certain parts of the mv, but they realized that they only have each other. thats why seulgi feels bad when joy falls to the ground when they fight & why irene immediately hugs yeri instead of arguing. in the end wendy ends up killing him & all the girls get rid of the body & are finally able to leave. so far the theories are that irene was kidnapped as a child, which is why she leaves the house dressed up with wings, since she didnt have a childhood. yeri leaves with a somewhat uniform, cause she was taken during school, the other 3 i dont know yet. in the end they burn the house down and aren’t arrested by cops, they are FOUND after being missing for years.

the story of the MV is that they’re sisters (biological or not) and are held captive in that house by the man we see in the photo. they’re probably getting abused because then wendy murders the man. then we see them coping with this murder in their own way and even fighting each other, then finally escaping. but the weight of this captive life and of this murder is too much for them so they decide to go back and burn down the house, which make them feel finally free and closer to each other. then ofc we see them getting caught by the police but they don’t care as long as they’re together
I know it's for artistic/story telling purposes but I HATE when MVs have that pause in the middle of the song. It always throws me off. It sounds WAY more cohesive on the regular audio version.
As huge RV fan, i was lowkey disappointed by this song (other than the bridge) and the album. There's a few pretty good songs, but nothing amazing like in their past albums.
