In the UK you get police officers patrolling and they’re all over most pride events making sure theres no one doing anything harmful in anyway and if its a pride event which allows minors and theres nudity and such going on then the person will be charged. Police are there to just there to make it a nicer environment for everyone really, it’s safer and an AMAZING thing to go to because basically everyone is lovely and people get to be themselves there. Along with that said, theres going to be one person or another wearing something revealing and i don’t think that we should fully get rid of pride month but we should fully tackle the issue of FAMILY FRIENDLY pride events due to these issues that have been stated. Moving on, i think sexuality is completely fine to be proud of as people fought hard to be able to go out and be themselves without being harmed physically and/or emotionally. You saying that people shouldn’t be proud of sexuality is offensive to the people that have been harmed due to being themselves. Also i want to point out that being proud and being confident are 2 different things and that not all people can be proud of who they are yet still go to pride and kiss the same gender (etc) in public, in a simpler explanation, you dont need to be proud to come out and be open about your sexuality. I hope this makes sense as ive not re-read any of this (i just cant be bothered) but my message is that people going to pride nude is frowned upon by most, barely any people even encourage it, being yourself is fine, pride isnt supposed to be harmful and that pride is just to let people be themselves for once.
