  • Join me on my Sunday long run as i finish week 13 of London marathon training and talk about my fuelling strategy, with the London Marathon just around the corner.
    As we count down the final 3 weeks to one of the most iconic marathon races in the world, Im lookiong at my last few weeks training and overcoming a little injury to sound off week 13 of marathon training. Ill also share my fuelling strategy and a few tips along the way.
    Getting fuelling for long runs is extremely important so its worth spending some time researching and triing different options so there arent any surprises on race day.

    I hope the injury/condition situation behaves before London mate 🤞You got this 💪
    Also, you can set alerts on your Garmin to remind about taking gels.

      Thanks, went out for a 6 miler last night and pulled up after 2.5miles with the same calf issue so it’s not looking good. So fustrating!

    Really sorry to hear about all these injury issues you’ve been having. Like you said in the video, you’ve done 2 10ks and a 15 miler which is amazing.
    I think you’ll definitely smash your previous PB which is a great achievement! I wish you all the luck mate and can’t wait to hear how you get on!

      Thank you. The last 4 weeks have been a bit rubbish, the wheels have come off my training so I’m not sure how the marathon will go. I’ve managed a couple of 10 milers, 2x 13 milers, 2x 15 milers and 1x 16miler as my long runs and still got 11 weeks solid marathon training in the bank, just weeks 11-14 have been very poor with limited running. Oh well we take the rough with the smooth and just push on.

      Yeah that’s such a pain, but as you say at least you got 11 solid weeks in the bank!
      And thank you yeah training has been going quite smoothly very recently, just got to get past the big day on Sunday now 😂
