Small overhead electric chain fall and a stainless basket. That way you can load the basket and then drop it in one shot.

You just need a basket. We have baskets on both our drums. Bubbas Barrels makes a basket for 110 gallon+ size.

why not a pulley with a custom made basket for loading/unloading?

Looks like you have some head room above the barrels. How about adding some kind of basket system that can be hauled up to working level. You can add a few tiers to it like shelves.

Add a stainless rack into the barrel and a small electric winch to lift it up, easy load and unload without bending

Can you make a video all about your rye berry tek? I’m in Oregon (running a newly-legalized mushroom business) and am wanting to do rye in an atmospheric sterilizer. I can’t find ANY instruction on proper hydration or time/temp

Why are you running a new legalized business with no prior cultivation experience?
      No offense but seems ridiculous

@@chromakey84 wow, just a plain ass, huh? I have 25 years experience. The price of grain fluctuates, especially now. When farmers had to destroy their crops during the pandemic, the majority of our grain was coming from the Ukraine. It was dirty and many grains were unavailable. I have always used hard red winter wheat or oats. The oats were all filthy and the wheat berries were unavailable for awhile. 7 months ago our lab was in another area, but because of whiny liberals like you we moved it to a very conservative and wealthy part of the state. Now we’re near a grain elevator and the production of US goods has corrected. B UT you wouldn’t know any of that from your basement, would you? Too busy figuring out which pronoun to use on yourself.

What a joke your life must be to attack others instead of creating something yourself. Stay on shroomery, that’s where all the people who argue congregate. You can pretend all you want there. You can attack all kinds of people there about their grow methods. You’re not clever or funny, you’re just a stereotype.

Turning the room into it may not be to hard. I’ve seen those videos where they use those heaters that almost melt plastic, to kill bed bugs. I think they go up to 190

You're sterilizing grain with atmospheric steam? Asking for trouble
Also if you want to build a big steam box get the small size shipping container and a souix boiler. You can pipe the steam in. This allows you to roll racks of bags in and out of your steam box😊

    • @liquidfungi
      @liquidfungi 10 месяцев назад +1

What trouble exactly? As scientists, we tested this system well. Around 50,000 bags in the past few years, with a 99% success rate. We have not had any trouble with the sterilizing aspect of these units. We do need a larger more convenient system. We will be looking to build a roll-in steam box in the future.

    10lb blocks no less.
    Standard for max initial flush.
Need some kind of a stand to stand on. Or hoist with a basket.

Yep, no reason not to in our case. These are blocks that are sold to customers off site. We have no intention of inoculating them ourselves.

Benches for spawn, benches for y'all. Run it 24/7, catch a sweat when you need to. Reap the health benefits and sterilize grain/substrate both, lol

If you go to BuildaSoil RUclips page, Jeremy went to a commercial mushroom farm. They sterilized substrate in huge batches. Search mushroom farm in BuildaSoil videos. I think the mushroom farm went out of business last year though
