That radiator in the back you guys need to add a firewall there was that boosted boys guy who had his burn out vehicle like this and when he lost a radiator hose he got 3rd degree burns all over his body. Stay safe guys!!!

Exactly this 👆 One of my first thoughts too. Thank you for pointing this out. Always safety first. It's easy to get caught up in the excitement. We just want to make sure our boys are safe in the first place 🙏

I'd add a cage around the steering rack and add an Acusump so you don't lose oil pressure as quickly during those extreme angle maneuvers... AND PUT A DAMN HELMENT ON!!!

Those are top quality forged rims, it's normal to have to replace the bead lock rings as they often get knocked about and are a consumables. Shocks look good quality, no leaks by the look of it. King, Radflow, Fox live valve and Carbon Shocks are all good brands.
Need to find out what kind of parts you have in it before you just start replaced parts. If it aint broken, don't fix it. Like you said, powder coded paint. It make it look nice and tough and clean new Beadle. Locks, some newer tirescause they probably sold you. Some of their used tires to save money on the next build for themselves.

The two sticks are setup with one being Hi and Low gears And the other is for 3 modes of 4wd…. One being rear axle only, one being front axle only and the other being both front/rear axles…….need to contact Matt’s off road to be clear how to operate the transfer case…..he’s having wrecker games out in Utah middle of March

It doesn’t work that way. One stick is front axle high/low/neutral and the other stick is rear axle high/low/neutral. It has an Atlas transfer case. Some can be shifted in a way where you can run front only but not a stock Atlas or Atlas 2. It depends on if it’s a driver or passenger drop as to which stick controls which axle.
@@Beardest_FishingThanks for redoing my error……I did recommend that they could contact Matt’s Off-road since they are fellow RUclipsr’s and very experienced at building and driving crawling Riggs.
Most rock rigs run a different setup, one stick is front axle and the other is rear axle. Each stick has three detents hi, neutral and low. This allows you to shift them separately. For example rear neutral and front low turn the wheel and hold the rear brake and you can pivot on one rear wheel. Makes a really tight turn.
Make sure you have selectable axle lockers like ARB air lockers. While you use them locked a lot of the time you want to be abele to control them.
@@jefferyyoung6836 These rigs don’t run selectable lockers in the diffs. They all run full spools because at no time would you ever want or need to unlock a diff. The front has drive slugs (where a locking hub would go) that aren’t able to be locked or unlocked. They are much stronger than a selectable hub.

Awesome. You guys have at least 1 Ton solid axles .maybe a Dana 70/80 in the rear Gears are important a lot of us run 4.88- 5.38 gears with lockers. The shocks look like old FOA shocks - I’d run some kings coilovers. For tires the compound matters and what look you want. Some Maxxis trepador comps are awesome or red label bfg krawlers .
A forged beadlock would be awesome for you guys KMC,sidetracked Offroad , fuel make great wheels. Throw in some apex valve stems to air up and down really quick.
Definitely a cool set up. That Double triangulated rear will give so much flex !💪
The guy who built that buggy knows a shit ton more than the Goonz. Whatever they do it will make it worse. They should just leave it and run it.

It already had really high quality forged beadlocks. They just don't know what they're looking at. That's a high quality build they will only make worse by adding cheap sponsor parts.
Guys don't even know how to freespool a winch let alone upgrade a rock bouncer.
@@edscharlow572 yeah. I'm watching Peter Bjorn build his tube chassis 240 and as much as I can take a take granny car and make it a race car, building a tube chassis from nothing is pretty daunting!
You might need to be careful that you don't end up getting skewered with some of those trees

Love watching videos of rock bouncers, racing up those hills. This will be a fun series to watch you guys tear into it and do things to it. And especially if you boys go to events with it.
you've got a good foundation. looks like a 14 bolt rear end, dana 60 front. those tires have some life left and are some of the best rock bouncing tires (super swampers) and trail ready beadlocks. they do make a sticky version in a 43" tire super swamper sx sticky iirc
Those are the 43” SX sticky compound. On rocks those tires on it will be fine but not so much in dirt.

Oh my gosh...thats a mental mad max crawler.....bit of a respray and a livery goonzquad lime green and black....some method wheels...n king shocks....whooey you got a mad beast. Respray cage add few lime green chequor plate panels and some g squad stickers...chequor plate dash...and that would be even more mental.

I’d be put some kind of shielding between the radiator and the back of the seats because if it pops a hose your covered in boiling hot antifreeze.

You might want to add a shiel behind the seats to seperate radiotor from seats also relocate the nos bottle from the gas tank something lights up and your done.

First episode I’m really excited for. I had a buggy back in the early 2000’s before bouncers. Just dove tail tubs and stretched Tj’s on Dana’s. Did paragon and rausch back in the day and all the nea4wd and ec4wda runs. So Im Pumped for this

Be careful with your life, if something happens you will change your lifestyle not only yours but others. The day you hit the fence should be a wake up call. Dont roll the dice . One day you will lose a lot. Please be careful. I like your show. And if you go out at 3 in the morning and think you are the only one, if you are there someone else can also be there. Be careful always. A second can change everything. Again you have a great show.

Last year I read a comment in a vid of yours just after you boys chopped up parts of that Porsche and sold them on your store and in that comment this person referred to you boys as “Greed Squad” which deeply offended me at the time. Now I see what he meant by it.

Might be a good idea to put a partician between the coolant and driver. If the radiator or coolant reservoir or hose were to burst, whomever is in the truck is going to get 3rd degree burns all over. Old Cleetus video of someone from a burnout competition is proof of that. Have a hell of a time but, be smart and safe fellas.

The 'worn tires' are considered better for rock climbing as more surface area is spread over the rocks.1/3 tread left is close to perfect. 6-8 lbs air pressure allows the tire surface to spread better too. The 2 Shifters are Hi-Lo range,(duh right) But< You can engage Either the front,Or the rear axle by putting 1 in neutral for a "Dig" which turns the vehicle tighter when needed. Watch trail mater and his tow truck and most of their buggies have those to learn from.

Looks like good bones to start. Rear axle is a 14 bolt from a GM truck. Front is Dana 60, maybe 80's dodge, or GM. couple things I noticed. appears to have too much preload on the coil-overs. I'm no expert, but the general rule I've always followed is not more than 3 1/2 inches of preload, those look close to 5". Also, I highly recommend getting double shear steering arms. I don't trust single sheer, especially on the top of the steering arm, even if they are solid/reid/crane knuckles. Have fun with it.
