This is obviously an example of a positive experience but imagine how tough it must be for GMs to tell players that they didn't make a team or are sending them down, etc.
Especially with what he went through and all the work and sacrifice his family put into it. I’m sure a lot of the emotion was from knowing that all their hard work paid off
Man, for your life's work to finally result in achieving your childhood dream of making it to the NHL, that's the stuff you dream of experiencing, happy for Cody 👍👍👍
i dont think people have any idea how precarious a job being in the nhl in. Its a long shot and best and even when you get there its no guarantee you stay. Good to see some good stories come out of this.
I hope he invests wisely what salary he gets and not go out and blow it all on some stupid whim. Any pro career is never a certainty, injury can kill it in an instant. I wish Cody an amazing career but be wise and invest for the future !! Athletes often retire in their 30's (if they are lucky enough) and after inflicting severe punishment to their bodies are often in pain from the abuse. I do hope he has a very long career, stay healthy Cody !
Glass is such a fitting last name. Never heard a last name that just sounds so good when describing a player.........except for McJesus. Blay LaBamaba baby.
So glad the canucks didn't draft Cody glass. I wanted him so badly at the time but what a relief I wasn't in charge of drafting. Glad to see him make the team tho, way to go kid!

@@kYA00h of course but im just saying it must be a bummer
Bad news is never a fun message to deliver, regardless of your position.
This is what sports is all about, being rewarded for hard work, dedication, commitment.
Love this.
actually...
sports is about teamwork, sportmanship and trust when it comes down to it.
I remember when life was supposed to work like that too. Now they just talk about equity
I would buy a subscription to see behind the scenes stuff like this from every team. Congratulations Mr. Glass. Love this!
Nothing wrong with showing emotions when all your hard work and dreams are getting good results
10/4

I'm rooting for Cody Glass. Seems like a good kid.

Yes

Don’t blame him. I’d be crying too if I had to play for the Predators
Give me league minimum and I'll play in Buffalo
youd be crying too if you actually worked as hard as a hockey player working his ass off to get to the nhl. sit down
Perfect example of blood sweat and tears.
