When I was an aimless high-schooler listening to progressive metal, I happened to hear this song (on the radio perhaps in the Twin Cities) - now this is like quarter century ago - and I picked up The Angel In the House by the Story and have been captivated by this song, the harmonies, the lyrics, ever since (also go listen to the track The Gilded Cage). Fast forward to a few weeks ago, I'm on my way to an AA meeting (living life on life's terms) and Live From Here is on the radio because it feeds my soul and this song starts to play and I was stunned, I started to cry, I pulled over, I was in disbelief. I could NOT for the life of me believe that a song that is so beloved by me was being played and TODAY I find out it was Aoife O'Donovan singing it? Oh my god I'm so in love. We're so lucky. Thanks to Jonatha Brooke for writing it and Chris Thile and Aoife for singing it and reminding me why music is the most important thing in the world to me.
Oh my, how did I miss this when it first came online? Thank you RUclips algorithm for bringing me this utter gem. Gorgeous song to begin but the arrangement and presentation is stunning. I'm always amazed at the amount of work Aoife, Chris Thile and the entire cast of Live From Here put into a performance. How many times was this remarkable work presented before a live audience?
Here's a live version of the Jonatha Brooke and Jennifer Kimball original : ruclips.net/video/1Oyaa1hIAgs/видео.html The entire "Angel in the House" album is a gem.
Chris's backing vocals in the last portion of the song remind me of James Taylor. BTW, Aoife needs a stage name - one that doesn't autocorrect to "a life".
I really loved The Story . This is a good cover . While the original artists was better but their solo carreers never recaptured the harminic tonal quality . Separately they are still very talented song writers but the performance is very lacking.

❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🙏
Love this song 😊
I love The Story...thanks for doing this lovely rendition of this beautiful song. ✨
This song still gives me chills. One of my favorites...and so much like me and my own daughter...
I listened to it tonight & started to cry. It is about a daughter, but it most of the song child be a mother worrying about her child or either sex.
This is simply fantastic. I love Jonatha and Aoife and Chris sing a beautiful rendition.
Just to remind people, The Story was a duo.
Beautiful song, lovely arrangement, great performance. She looks and sounds so much like my former Music partner
Get Jonatha on the show Chris ... the world needs it.

The entire "Angel in the House" album is a gem.
Written by Jonatha Brooke
... not sure why that couldn't be included in the video description. Thanks for the completion.
@@tchansen It clearly says it's "The Story's So Much Mine"
@@KyleDavisMusic , Jonatha Brooke was half of The Story & the songwriter. She sings solo these days.
Kathleen Cunningham yes. I know.
Chris's backing vocals in the last portion of the song remind me of James Taylor.

Credit the writer pls
It says in the description that it's by The Story
