Thank you so much for the detailed explanation. I am very grateful for the much-needed video. Your guidance on this question has been immensely helpful.🙏
Thank you very much Sir, for this timely video. This was indeed much awaited. Overall, it gave a different dimension and perspective on how to look at C3 questions. Thank you very much once again Sir.
Hi Sir, PLEASE REPLY TO THIS, YOU SAID THAT WE CAN MAKE BLOCK DIAGRAM FOR FIGURES, WHERE WE NEED MAKE THEM, AFTER ABSTRACT OR IN THE BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWING SECTIONS PLEASE REPLY.
@@raghavdixit6208 in the patent application, drawings are provided in a separate document. In the exam, you may prepare drawings at the end after abstract.
In plain language, "embodiment" means in one instance of the invention or one implementation of invention. For example, In one embodiment, the input interface is touch sensitive. In another embodiment, the input interface is activated through voice.
Thanks for the session, Have a question, can we assume and add to the claims, for e.g use of A.I for thrust control and Airport location to optimally land and tack aricraft ?
My preference is to be restricted to the information provided - because the marks are not how better can you make the invention, but how well you understand the concepts of what goes in the patent application and how! So, given, the objective, make a better use of your time at hand. During practice as patent agent, you can go as wild with your improvisation as possible :-)
you are not watching the videos with focus 😞I have talked about justification as well in C1/C2 videos - here you emphasize that your claim includes inventive step/component to overcome the technical problem as given in the question.
Sir can you please make a video of "a quick recap of sections", like about one sentence about each sections , which will really help us for memorizing all sections for exam, sir.
Hello Sir, All your uploaded videos are very helpful...Can you please help to decode the drafting question with comparative examples say 10d. Of Paper 2 , 2024 of Patent Agent Exam ? Thanks !!
@AbhayPorwal Sir, I saw whole video.. It's decoding of 10) a) and 10).b)....I wanted guidance for 10th C) or 10.d) of 2024 paper 2..Can you please guide?
Sir at 9:30min , the first page of FORM 2 it is mentioned as the patent rules 2024, and in second schedule form2 it is mentioned as the patents rules 2003.. what should be followed?? both seem correct because recent amendments in rules are in 2024 only
In the first question, you made a drawing. But you didn't do so for the second one? Could you tell if it's okay if we don't make drawing and where to place them if we do so. After the abstract or before the form 2?
Thank you sir for this video. One question on other p2 questions, do we need to write entire section as it is or just the crux of the section when writing answers for p2 part A and B
Sorry, I don't understand your question. Are you clarifying if the entire patent application has to be written - the answer is yes, using the information provided in the question paper, you have write everything.
Thank you sir for super quick response.. actually I am referring to the other sections of Paper 2, Part A and Part B, where a use case is given and asked to suggest the client based on relevant sections of the Act. There do we need to write the sections word by word as in the Act or just the crux of the section can be mentioned while explaining our answer. Thanks.
Also sir, in exam, do we need to write description, claims and abstract from new page as mentioned in form2? Also , some patent applications mention line numbers, like 0001 , do we need to do that?
@JerryNTweety instead of new page, make a soft indication that a new page starts...---++++newpage-----+++ Also, the requirement to indicate line numbers..but what all can be done with paper n pen in 45 minutes
Sir just for your information, we are not given any rough paper to write a rough draft of claims. In that case how do we attempt the claims first which even I agree should be dealt with first and then rest everything else. Also Sir, can you please confirm if a Patent Agent signature is required at the end of the detailed description? As I am aware of the practice where the signature only comes after the claims.
Akshay, may be use your question paper to write your rough claim or the last page of your answersheet - I guess they provide additional sheets as well.
@@AbhayPorwal okay sir I will keep in mind about the answer sheet of Paper 1. However very sure about they not providing any additional sheets. They declare that before the Paper 2 begins.

Asking question here because I didn't know where else to ask. Solving previous year questions and stuck at this one, I would appreciate if you could provide a little clarification. Year 2023, Paper 1 Question- Raju Gomaz,. a US citizen, filed two applications with USPTO on 28.04.2017. He filed a convention application in India on 27.04.2018, claiming priority from one of the US applications. He filed a PCT international application on 25.04.2018 claiming priority from the other application and entered PCT national phase in India on 31.03.2019. The date of patent for convention application and the national phase application are respectively. a) 27.04.2018 and 25.04.2018 c) 27.04.2018 and 31.03.2019 b) 28.04.2017 and 31.03.2019 d) 28.04.2017 and 28.04.2017 Doubt is- If priority was claimed from earlier filed applications, how come the correct answer is option 'a' and not option 'd'.
Date of Patent is different from priority date: For PCT Application - International filing date is deemed as filing date in India - hence: 25.04.18; whereas for convention application, its filing date in India - 27.04.18
