PS: Nelly is already looking for furniture (head over to Instagram to see her stories) Also let us know where we can buy furniture :)
Good luck searching for a new place. All three areas you are looking into are good places. BGC looks so good right now as it is a newly developed area and very well planned, but quite expensive.
I work at BGC. You can get through traffic anywhere since you have access to the 2 major roads edsa and c5. In Makati you'd have to travel a bit further to reach the cheaper areas because of the traffic and flooding risk whereas in BGC, you get all the stuff walking distance. You can ride a jeep, habal-habal or the bgc bus to take you at any point. Malls are also within reach. For furniture, i recommend buying in Market Market. If you want to explore further, try going to SM North.
Market market in bgc would be a good place to check for furniture. More economical compared to other stores in bgc which can cost an arm and a leg. Also, its sal-se-do.
Try to look at Dapitan Arcade in Dapitan corner Kanlaon street just in the boundary of Manila City and Quezon City(near the historic University of Santo Tomas) for *extremely bargain* home decors and furnitures.
But if you are not scrimping on your budget you can try to look for Cobonpue or Mejore(just google them). They have elegant furnitures for every home. Mejore has a showroom in Legaspi Village Makati(in Dela Rosa corner Legaspi street). While Cobonpue has a showroom in The Residences in Greenbelt Makati. Good luck on your hunt guys
BGC is better but expensive.
Makati is originally the business district in Manila and is affordable.
My wife and I live in BGC, we looked at makati but it’s mostly business district. BGC is absolutely beautiful and everything you could possibly want is there! Little more expensive but so worth it!
Doug Sullivan any suggestions on which building in BgC?
I’m a guy so I’ll admit I don’t remember the name of the building we’re in, I just know where it is lol!! I’ll ask my wife in the morning as I’m back in the states for a few months. There’s always one across the street. If you’d like I’m sure she would be willing to meet with you privately and show you around too. It’s up to you just let me know. Anything else Karen and I can do, we will be more then willing to help.
Just remembered there’s also a bureau of immigration in the mall down the street so no taking a grab cab to makati for visa extensions. So that’s convenient.
@@MakingithappenVlog I recommend One Uptown Residences infront of Hyatt Hotel. One(1) bedroom unit costs about P35K -P45K per month rental. About $US 750/ month. I suggest you buy furnitures & fixtures at Sang Yan, located at Market Market. They have discounted prices until April 30. We just purchased a Queen size bed, lightings, side tables, bathroom fixtures etc. for about P30K discounted(20%) less. Go check if affordable for U. Good luck. Happy Easter.
Making it happen Vlog didn’t forget, our building is south of market and the other one is serenrdra. Good luck with your search!
Nelly and Mike! Thanks loads for embracing the Philippines! 👍Enjoy and safe travels! 👍❤️
I grew up in Makati(San Lorenzo) and I love my city. But now, I do prefer BGC because of its layout, walkability, and organisation. Hopefully future developments of cities here in the Philippines follow suite.
For me is BGC. Mike and Nelly, you can do a business there like Make it Happen (MIH) OR (M+N) Restaurant and coffee shop.
Crisanto Sy haaha lets see what future brings 😬 Apartment first 😛
BGC apartment
Can't wait to see what you’ve found. I hope you can find the right one soon.
It’s amazing when the traffic disappear in Manila for at least two days.
"EDSA"
Luisito Nopal The traffic disappears in Manila is that for the weekend?
You guys should definitely check out FILINVEST or AYALA, ALABANG area first. Cheaper choices, 20 minutes away from the airport(skyway), and near ATC/WestGate/Molito(great food and coffee choices)
I'am your subscriber from Sweden I follow you guys in RUclips
i been following you since last year love the collaboration with the juicy vlog
wish you all the luck
Congrats on 150k subs. Keep it up!
Nice tour around the city. Thanks for showing us around. ☺
Hahaha. I love how you fitted the Halo-halo image with the song. I thought I also heard it halo-halo at first then your image. Haha.
Notification squad! Will be in Manila in couple months hope to meet you guys 🤞
me too
Thanks for letting us tag along all the time. I lived in Philippines in 70's. Quite a change I must say. Get that apartment and then take us to Japan ! Was there in 70's also !! Thanks for the trips.
Legazpi Village, that’s a place to go.
Furnitures: check Mandaue Foam at Shaw Blvd Mandaluyong City
You guys are great ambassador for the Philippines. I live in Atlanta GA and been following you guys since last year. Keep it up!
Ok.love to see that
just subbed and turned on notifications! Hope that the move goes well!
Nice to see you decide to stay here in Makati, Metro Manila.. staying in legaspi village is nice. Its my old office address.
Good luck Mike n Nelly!! I hope you chose the best place that fits your lifestyle....and safety of course!🙏🌷
Hi Mike & Nelly. You got my vote. I've been watching your vlogs since I found you on TY 3 mos ago. Keep it up. And thanks for embracing the Philippines. The country is not perfect, but I can attest that it's a country full of happy, fun, and welcoming people. And let's not forget, you won't have to struggle when it comes to communicating anywhere. (But, I think you already know it by now).
Anyway, I have left the PH 35 years ago & now resides in LA w/ my family. And I can tell you, the country has had so much changes since then.
From when Legaspi Village only has a few tall bldgs & now, you can't almost find empty lots. I was & still is the financial district on Manila. However, BCG is becoming the Manhattan/Wall Street fast. If I'm not mistaken, a major stock exchange is moving or has already moved to BGC.
For me, I would prefer BGC.
The price for real estate is higher than the rest of the places you're considering to settle. But you can also see/feel it. It's a newer community w/ the ambiance of a premier 1st World country living. Clean, vibrant, accessible, feel like you're close to your real home (I can only guess), You really get what you pay for.
But most importantly for you too....... BGC has a multitude of your fave coffee shops. ;-)
At any rate, those three places you're considering are all good choices.
Again, thank you for embracing the Pinoy culture. God bless, be safe & hopefully I'll see you guys when I visit the land of my birth next Feb-March 2020. PEACE.
That's me at the 4:00 mark! Caught me making music on a weekend. ;) personally I feel more creative in Makati, BGC can feel a bit too structured or rigid for me at times.
Thank you again for sharing the world with us. 🥰
Y'all got me guys... Subscribed!👍
Happy Easter Mike and Nelly! Be safe travel.
Can't wait on ur next plans! ♥️ Hopefully u will find the best place for u guys. U deserve it 😉😉♥️
Celyn Cruz thank you 🙏🏼
I love this, I live in Orlando Fl, and I've always been curious how living in Manila is. Good to know and see it all, it's a lot more modern than I imagined
Wow enjoy your new home.Good luck to both of you
Juanita Wilms thank you 🙏🏼
Why can't I resist watching your videos even when I'm so super busy? Oh yes I shirk whenever you have a new video. Maybe because I'm already invested and I find myself rooting for you.
In my opinion , everything will be convenient in BGC (visa , transportation , business) and also it is super calm, quiet and saft
So bgc is better than makati :)
@@blackclavish Probably means the Korean Embassy near BGC.
이해창 Yeah BGC has a lot of good points. Being a resident in Makati sometimes I feel like I would like to check out BGC and how life is living there. worked there for a couple of years like six years. The only thing I can notice nowadays is the traffic is getting worse but still everything is well organized in BGC
we're proud to have u as residents in the phils mike n nelly.. be safe u guys :)
Mike as always has a sense of humor. I'm sure no boring moments for Nelly. ☺ 👍
Yeah, I agree with your choice. Legazpi Village is a nice place and it suits all your needs...just as you said in your vlog.
Very Good information, so i always watching your videos, it's very interesting, we love you always..
I like your vlog and the music you played is soooo good.
Happy Easter Mike & Nelly! They are all good location, I like Gramercy beside Trump & Milano Residence, they have an amazing infinity pool facing the Makati Skyline. I guess the newer condo is much smaller now compared to the older bldgs.
Happy Easter Sunday Mike and Nelly💕💕💕
Happy Easter guys Making it Happen Vlog.....
Thank you for chosing our country☺☺☺ i will subscribe to your channel because you love PHILIPPINES💜💜💜
Been watching your vlogs a lot, just subscribed, my bad. Hope you guys find your home in the Phil. Take Care. Watchin' from KSA.
Wherever you prefer to live as long your happy mike n nelly go ahead will support you all the way. keep safe n happy easter
Cool blog specially I like the background music and your Army pant costumes with black T shirt looking smart.👌👌
Nice research Mike and Nelly and Yes don't share it. Not until you got it. ha ha ha. By the way nice music and I like the icon "Halo Halo". Rhyme and Funny I feel you..... I'm recommending your blogs on all my friends here at Singapore.
Legaspi. Cost is less expensive as you said. And all the resto and coffee shops you need are there. And there are also good wine bars there. I'm sure you could fine an old fashion there too.
Love you guys! Happy Easter! ❤️😁
And no, I’m not one of the 60%ers who view every day but aren’t subscribed 😉
You're very much welcome to my country guys!!!
just subscribed! really engaging vlog. makes me miss home more.
I am subjective. I live in Legaspi Village. Choose that neighborhood. It’s awesome!
efriendsf Yeah I tend to be biased also I live around the area in Makati hahhahaa
Good choice guys.and thnks for choosing ph as ur 2nd home mabuhay!😍
Welcome mike and nelly.. I love you😍
amazing...
It's nice to know that you are moving to Manila..BGC is more expensive but modern and more accessible.
Cypher Escobar agree with you
I am so excited for you guys. I hope you pick the right place for you. Goodluck with the house hunting. Mabuhay!
I always enjoy your vlog guys... Take care always💕💕💕
Happy Easeter Mike and Nelly.Love to see your veds always.
@Making it happen, its nice to know you guys have decided to move to Philippines. Sorry if the missed the episode of why you have decided to move to Philippines. I know you have recently moved from Florida to Bali.
Hey Mike and Nelly good to see you back after easter break. My suggestion...try Rockwell in Makati. Power Plant Mall just a stone throw and the security around it was really good. Good luck on your house Hunting.
hi mike and nelly, i'm one of the 60% and I just subscribed!😊 its BGC for me.. it is flood free, less traffic, clean, safe, beautiful surroundings and everything you need is there..
Legaspi Village is the best choice for anyone! So hip but posh with a lot of green surroundings, less traffic more footpaths and coffee shops along the way, good neighbourhood and very safe areas. You have it all around Legaspi village!!!
Marko Aiel Lagria I second that 👍🏼
I third :)
Me fourth!👍
Marko Aiel Lagria I love legaspi village it’s right beside the commercial center also has some parks for running and lots of shade and also near Greenbelt
Happy Easter guys
its just me Mike and Ms Nelly, choose the one that makes you accessible for your everyday routine,i mean traffic is always there and im thinking that you guys were getting use to it lols....
whichever makes you and ms nelly comfortable
im happy for you guys
good luck on your new apartment
god bless
All three places look good! I'm no help at all. 😄 Best wishes finding your new apartment! Happy Easter! 😎
@@esperanzacorazon9686 LOL :)
Still catching up on your vlogs guys! Keep making it happen! #MakingItJuicyOnTheRoad2.0
You’re right. When I was there last December. It took me 45 min to get grab on top of that it’s so traffic
I always enjoy watching your videos. I love Manila and I miss it. I am always inspired to see different locations from your travel.
Nice video and cool music..God bless from NYC. I'd definitely move there from this Concrete jungle lol! Zoo York lol
I really do love your background music.
Christian Samontr the source is linked in the description 😊
Legaspi looks really nice for me. If you found a good affordable BGC apartment... that's good too.
Think really carefully, and really weight the pros & cons of these 2 places.
We've lived in both
.. BGC by far is better to walk, and ease of living.. Makati is nice if you work or dont want to drive to work. BGC has more to offer especially if you want to grocery shop, SM Aura and Metro grocery have fantastic grocery items from Europe and America... example, Kale, spinach, good luck finding that in 80% of the stores but both aforementioned have it plus an S&R membership which is like Costco ... cheeses, to very good beef to just about anything imported.
From following your vlog for a year plus you seem to like BGC ie, Mckinkey area Venice Mall, parks and cleanliness with great coffee shops, once again in and around BGC.
We live in Acacia estates now, that's just a bit east of BGC it's a slice of quiet gated village... and up to 200 mbps internet and rent is around 18k up.. :) for a 2 bedroom ... Legaspi is a nice for Makati, you kind of found the sweet spot there, the only drawback is you're surrounded by traffic .. =then again so is most of Metro Manila. MAKE SURE wherever you go to rent that the internet provider is good... PLDT, Sky Cable
Legaspi village is where i used to work. Lots of memories there.
The whole Philippines welcome you!
been following your journey for quite some time now.... piece of advice on finding a place Mike & Nelly ( IT'S ALL ABOUT THE VIBE) when you feel it is the ONE ...it is the ONE.!
That blinking halo-halo is mouth watering :)
So excited for you guys! BGC is it! Peaceful, walkable and full of life!
wow!!! im so happy to hear that from you guys that you are living in my country,,
that's really awesome..
anyway I lived in Makati for more than 10 years.. in my opinion Makati is the best city in metro manila..
everything you is already there 24/7 open.
safe place the condo units are not so expensive.
well organized city.. I hope I could catch you there when I get back to my country..
Hey Mike and Nelly, Happy Easter to the both of u. Hope u have enjoyed Manila during the Holy Week and hoping u have already decided which part of Manila u are going to settle. May Godbless ur decisio in choosing ur nest. Watching from Singapore, OFW here longing to see ur daily vlogs to keep me from being homesick.
The residences in BGC is relatively more expensive than that in Makati perhaps because the former is more modern and developing efficiently 👍 I also heard that they have better flood control system in the area...
It's crazy how you guys are so well researched already haha! I still love how you have found beauty in Manila that not a lot of people see. As someone who lives near these neighborhoods, here are my thoughts; 1. I think the advantage of Poblacion, century city ro be exact is the fact that it's still being constructed which means prices may still be cheaper. I do think that the place itself may not be suitable for you on the long run (traffic and red light district) so I think this should be the last option. 2. I think Legazpi village is a great place as it gives a different vibe than thw rest of Makati. Advantage would be it's cheaper than BGC. I do agree with the other comments that Makati is actually prone to floods so you might want to consider that 3. BGC is probably the best and most fit for the two of you but it is expensive compared to the others but I think it'll be worth the investment, though. One thing I like about BGC is how I feel like I'm in a completely different country when I go there- I'm not sure if that'll feel the same if I lived there tho haha! I do hope you get that dream apartment!! See you around Manila! ❤
BGC dont have floods during rainy season while Makati a lot!
Ray Junsay For your information, Legaspi Village does not flood even with heavy rains.
@stealth fighter no flood in Makati City during rainy season.
@stealth fighter in financial District of Makati City I think no flood there during rainy season.
No floods in Ayala during rainy season. But outside Ayala there are areas in Makati that floods a lot during rainy season due to blocked drainage.
@@krizzyDeleon1850 ano gingawa ng mayor? P11billion annual revenue ng makati city.
im watch all your vlogs everyday...good to hear that ur moving to my country philippines...shout nmn po police corporal😃
A BIG YES to Legaspi Village! I live and work here and it’s a mix of city vibe and nature (Legaspi Park and W Sycip Park). It’s also peaceful at night and especially Weekends given that this is a business district. It is the closest to the airport(5-10mins), least traffic, best malls (Greenbelt, Glorietta) are in here, and not all areas flood (if that’s a concern). Best part is the wide range of Coffee Shops as youve mentioned as well as Restaurants.
BGC is so posh and beautiful but more expensive. Traffic going in and out of BGC is terrible. I have to admit you have everything here though. Would be a great choice too!
I just really hope I bump into you guys whenever you’re in Legaspi Village!
Watching ur nice video in Nigeria. Enjoy ur stay in the Philippines.
You have to go to Ortigas in Pasig City...it has everything. Jollibee's headquarter is located there. Lots of resto and coffee shops as well.
Love you guys!!! We watch you guys every single day. Finally hit the subscribe button and likes, lol. Anyway, because of you, we've decided to come back in the Philippines and will retire there. We've been living in the States for 40+ years. I hope to see more video of places to rent or buy in that same area you picked.
New subcriber here from Philippines😀
legazpi village is an old village but it remains cozy and nice. if you are looking for affordable apartments you can also try greenhills, greenbelt Makati and Ortigas area. also, Alabang area can be another option.
Mike and Nelly after the Holy Week try Tao expedition in Palawan good for a vlogger like you guys.
Happy Easter too guys...I’m really glad you guys decided to moved to Manila. I would be bias to choose BGC, coz we have lived there 6 yrs ago and we liked the area. We can walked around the neighborhood at midnight without getting scared. Still lots of people around and some resto closed late. You can still visit Legaspi Village and Poblacion area from BGC easily....
so sweet
You may also check out the Alabang area. Southernmost part of the Metro, just a few minutes from Makati or the airport (thru skyway during off-peak hours). Less pollution, suburban feels, more greenery, not as expensive, lesser traffic, safer environment for expats, closer to Tagaytay or the southern provinces. Just avoid heading to nearby Las Pinas due to the terrible traffic though.
I just did subscribe. Just discover you guys, watching in Virginia ,USA .
Ultimately the choice is yours, but I'll give you something to consider as you choose. On the rainy season here in the Philippines it pours. It pours so much water that some of the drainage system could not cope. So it floods. Sometimes for days. Check if the streets around your choice floods when it rains.
Nice video Mike and Nelly
Pranav Kumar thank you 🙏🏼
Halo-halo 😍
If near the airport's a consideration, try Newport and McKinley (the Grand Venice Mall area).
See you tomorrow❤️
Ortigas , very nice and modern too. Also Eastwood City
Visit filinvest alabang. The south is a quiet/chill place.
Mina Mina nice but too far to get to main spots lol
I was just suggesting that they visit, not necessarily live there. The south has a laid back environment and a few nice malls - Festival Mall, Alabang Town Center and Southmall. Perfect for couples and families. You can use the skyway. Nelly might like it.
@@Mina-nr5su totally agree with you.👍
Should choose BGC for convenience. Have a good day Mike and Nelly.
Wow. Just looked at BGC prices and they are as much as here in Austin in the US. Crossing my fingers you find something nice.
