The hardest part of the mission is having the motivation. Tip I found: at the end of the tormentor + subjugator fight, explore if you are low. There a places you can go and not be found.
The mission is coll if a bit lengthy, but the buff mechanic really upsets me. You can softlock yourself if you pick up the yellow buff and then go grab yhe node bencause of how long it takes the walls to spawn, and the section where you have to run from the wall will randomly wipe you if you are too fast and the whole point of that section is to be fast! Thanks for the awesome video Mac. The stream was great yesterday!

@@justcallmenessif you’re having a real hard time. Make sure you’re using a fire weapon with heal clip if you’re not already. Leave some ads for you to heal real fast. For the two Minotaurs at the ends. Pop transcendence and unload your strongest weapon after throwing your grenades. That’s how I got through it and I was running Hunter without a way to heal besides orbs and heal clip. ( solo) first run. Ito will help if the weapon you’re using is void so it’ll pop both shields at once. Not necessary but will help.
@@justcallmenessIt's simple. Save your super or transcendance until they spawn. Immediately you get the boss past the first line in it's health bar, the two minotaurs will immediately spawn so just either pop transcendance or your super or you use your lmg and start spamming. I had the same thought process but I just solo’d it on expert a couple of minutes ago. The thing that helped me the most was only engaging the boss on the middle platform. I would get the plate on either side to 100 then go back to the middle and damage there. When a Minotaur would spawn it would spawn back at the plate and I could burn it down before it got to me all the way in the middle.
Also the adds that spawn are not infinite, and will stop spawning after you kill enough of them or trigger a phase on any of the 3 sides. Just gotta take it slow.

22:02 the checkpoint for this spot is weird. If you die, you'll spawn here in the final room and there's a rally flag...BUT all the enemies will already be active and immediately start shooting the second you revive. You have NO time to react. I panicked, switched to one of my prismatic loadouts while I was dead, respawned, and fought a VERY prolonged battle. The Subjugator isn't even dangerous, he's just really annoying. I was constantly running in circles, dodging ice crystals and picking off adds, finally killed the Subjugator, then I was able to focus on the Tormentor. Kind of exhilarating, but also a huge pain in the ass. Don't think I'd wanna do it again.
Lots of Whisper vibes from this one. Not quite as good but I still liked it. I think it's engaging enough yet not too difficult for lots of people to get a solo run.
I had the TAMPER vex conflux dissappear once, but got it done solo last night. Only took me 2 1/2 hours to figure out the mechanics and a couple dozen deaths. It is not too bad and very doable solo. I used Red Death a lot to stay alive.
Once again great instructional video but like most things in d2, you have to do other missions to get exotic weapons that make solo missions like ting this mision his possible. I don't have the microcosm, I haven't done ascent, dissent and iconoclasm but once and if I do, I'll attempt this mission. Any advice on completing this mission without that weapon?
I have none of these exotics, so the boss fights took way longer, especially the final boss. Too easy to make a mistake and have to do it all over again, sigh.
Bro you are absolutely awesome 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻you’re a true Guardian! Your walk through is perfectly explained and then letting Benny join to piggyback the spoils of war off of you😂😂😂 super awesome bro Thanks for sharing your content
In this second week of ACT III when you are forced to do this mission again at step 3 to progress Failsafe, is it my imagination or are there more yellow bar enemies & it's more difficult???
Did this solo on expert on my warlock. Tried to do it solo on my hunter on expert, and the tormentor subjugator duo were just too much by myself regardless of build and load out. I tried microcosm, i tried still hunt, i tried edge transit, I tried rockets, I even tried to use Outbreak and play the long con. The second tormentor room is freaking TORTURE. If you die you get thrown in there with the tormentor and cabal basically already aggro and attacking you, and if you try to throw a flag down you are basically guaranteed to die before you finish the animation and rally. Even trying to change loadouts, just assume you're getting killed in the menu. On my warlock, I crutched the getaway artist prismatic turrets HARD lmao. I feel like that build is far and away the best general purpose load out in the game for pve, cause you can still use song of flame and whatever dps you want and the turrets are so effing good for aggro and cc. A tip on the microcosm recommendation: it hits WAY harder against the subjugator than the tormentor. Like, you can melt it to threshold in one mag on expert without even popping super beforehand. However, on expert I've found the tormentor just kinda laughs at everything, ESPECIALLY that second and third phase. And his suppression attacks make using supers for damage a bit of a risk, cause if you pop goldie, song of flame, etc it's hard to stop and do damage while keeping enough distance so he won't slam. I think microcosm might still be the best option for him solo cause you don't have to ADS or do any swap rotations like bait and switch. It was pretty challenging for me to do solo, but I got it done. I think it took me deadass like two or three hours. The Hydra boss was just a bunch of mechanics, if you've fought one hydra you've fought them all. But man, even on normal that tormentor and subjugator duo halfway through is the most annoying part of the entire activity. And the lack of any checkpoint forcing you to do it all in one sitting is not my favorite either.
I didn’t even know you could skip that whole jungle part, I’ve been trying to go for transient whisper as well as a solo flawless run and that literally made it a billion times easier lol
Solo'd it after watching you muddle through your first run. Overall, it seems pretty easy to solo. The call was the all-star pick for guns. If you can dodge the boss bug, Its really pretty straight forward. Played Matadoxia priz lock
The mission is easy apart from the end boss, on expert his attack kills you ridiculously quickly, and as a solo titan we have no constant healing like warlocks, so i keep dying when trying to shoot him
If you go to the middle platform and damage him from there his shots will miss like 90% of the time. The crescent piece of debris on the left side and the big block on the right next to the ledge are good cover.
New sub here. Sadly I got to the last part and fell off the edge and gave up, lol. How does kinetic scavenger help? Since primary ammo is now infinite, you're no longer picking up ammo for that weapon. What am I missing?
Great mission for sure. Any build ideas building around the Choir of One? I'm assuming I could just replace whatever I normally use in any void builds?
I don't know why but my Sleeper does NOT chunk the boss like yours does in the video, so I am being forced to multi-phase this which like you said is a pain having to get around those walls. I broke out my old reliable "1K voices" for the job, hits harder than the sleeper but still nothing like what you are doing in the vid. Regardless, thanks for the video, helped a ton getting up to the boss fight.
Just a word of warning, final boss has a glitch where the little don't spawn after the laser walls come up, you either can wipe and repeat it or try and and 2 phase the bosses first two chunks of health to get it into final stand. Should be good from there
I will never be good enough to do this but it does look interesting. Too many times doing the same thing over and over again. Better be the best gun ever to make this worth it.

A good heavy machine gun that covers any of the two surges is more than suitable for the tormentor and subjugator boss fight.
@@awitchnamedchloe Thanks.
Mac got the moonknight vibe going on there...very nice
Thank you Mantics!!! You are the BEST.
Thanks Matics got my new exotic because of your guide
Really good walk through. I did it on prismatic warlock
Was stuck at the first mechanic part with the wall wondering why I was wiping. Thanks for the guide!
I have none of these exotics, so the boss fights took way longer, especially the final boss. Too easy to make a mistake and have to do it all over again, sigh.
Bro you are absolutely awesome 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻you’re a true Guardian! Your walk through is perfectly explained and then letting Benny join to piggyback the spoils of war off of you😂😂😂 super awesome bro
Thanks for sharing your content
I followed along the entire video. And now I’m about to do the final boss fight. On a warlock lol. I’m cooked
Thank you, i completed the mission thanks to you .
Great video. Choir Of One would have been impossible Without your help.
5:13 Bro you slid that in sooo smooth hahaha 😂
In this second week of ACT III when you are forced to do this mission again at step 3 to progress Failsafe, is it my imagination or are there more yellow bar enemies & it's more difficult???
you have do the mission 3 times and get more diffilcut
What would you suggest for this week? as it's an arc and strand buff?
Those fake portals are the most useful things against the tormentor.
You make it look so easy. I solo’d to the final boss but just couldn’t beat it !
ok. i am impressed. thank you Matics. i think i can actually do that if i need to solo it. i want to paly a warlock but maybee ill go hunter.
Two minotaurs after i got him down right before final stand finished me off twice. 😅 Third time was the charm tho and that Choir of One sings sweet 🎉
Did it solo pretty easily. biggest pain was the tormentor + subjugator. I don't think i'll be attempting the catalyst run solo tho
The hardest part of the mission is figuring out wtf you're supposed to do.
Great explanation of the mission in my opinion
Thank you so much ! Great guide !
You are the man..make it look so easy. Wish I could let you play my character and level me up.
All of the different colored buffs reminds me of solving the FFX temple glyph sphere puzzles 😂
Fantastic guide, thank you.
How does Destiny expect you to figure this out??? Thanks man!
This was a good guide thank you
3:31 eager edge EXOTIC SWORD I didn’t know exotic swords could have eager edge mactics 😂
I got it with warlock but this video was really helpful thanks
Thank you so much. I could have went flawless but I wanted to solo 1 phase so I wiped like twice
My fav parts are the fact that you reccommend weapons and dont say if you dont have this, too bad. Even gave backup weapons. Ty
Thank you for this video it made it much more fun
Is there a "how to" for eager edge on xbox controller?
Just a word of warning, final boss has a glitch where the little don't spawn after the laser walls come up, you either can wipe and repeat it or try and and 2 phase the bosses first two chunks of health to get it into final stand. Should be good from there
yep, happened to me. I had to stop playing so it looks like i will have to start over. @#%$
Instructions unclear, beat Vex repeatedly over the head with Red Death’s pointy bits between 4 phases.
letting the video play on the background bc I like your voice and feel bad for subscribing only to watch warframe content
I just did this fight by sitting on the portal gate to your far front right when you spawn in. only had to worry about the occasional add shooting me.
Thanky Buddy !!! You are the best
I will never be good enough to do this but it does look interesting. Too many times doing the same thing over and over again. Better be the best gun ever to make this worth it.
Rock n Roll Counter: 4 !
