I liked how you did the card by card in this one. Explaining how the cards link together and what the goal is makes it easier to follow and understand rather than you just reading the cards to us.
I've watched Mandalore's VODs of him playing the blasted things, shit's hilarious for all the wrong reasons, it's like the cheapest, lowest-effort thing out there and it tries to have this drama going, except the characters having that drama are goofy mono-chromatic blobs who are impossible to take seriously on any level with the peak of crazy being the flashbacks and Stinger Flynn sections, both of which make me feel like I'm taking crazy pills.

This is basically that youtube video of western vs eastern comic silly power in a nutshell. Mtg goblins : lowly canon fooder. yugioh goblins : literal terrorists, mad max style, rival gang of the diabellestar.
Goblins in magic are also a vintage tribal thing with almost 30 years of support, including shit like "pay 2, stack your whole deck" and "cheat whatever you want in by swinging this one mana dude at stuff".
Or in my case *try to mix it with springans* for repeatable bounces and a regulus negate on top of the golbin stuff ( oddly, goblindberg is a good enabler in that trap hole)
A couple of people have already said it, but it needs to be emphasized: the Card by card breakdown was the best you've done so far. You explained every card, especially the cards that aren't part of the archetype, why they're in the deck, and how they mesh with each other in the current format. I hope to see more of this kind of breakdown for future TMTs
Personally ive been finding the most success with Goblins by pairing them with the Kashtira’s and trimming down on the Goblin numbers. 3 Planet 3 Unicorn 3 Fenrir 1 Riseheart 1 Birth 1 Theosis 1 Terraforming does a lot for the deck, namely, Dug becomes full combo if you already have an Xyz monster on the board, and Kash is really good at putting up an Xyz monster that doesnt need its materials to be impactful while also not using your normal AND provides more depth to your grind game, Unicorn can also dissuade your opponent from using Droll in some matchups because some decks simply cannot let you rip that 2nd card from their extra. And because this makes Dug full combo you can really trim down on your Goblin ratios, currently im on 3 Dug 3 Tour Guide 1 Mianda 1 Boon 3 Arrival 1 Meeting 1 Stampede and the 2 Terrortop 1 Taketomborg. This leaves about 10-12 slots open for generics on top of the Fenrirs you already play natively. Also, Wollow is just better Crazy Beast. Wollow is SOOOOO good.
@threepointgaming 1 card combos I can think of: - Tour Guide - Speedroid Terrortop - Rescue cat - Mathematician (send dark clown) - Punk ze amin - Punk Foxy tune - Emergency teleport - a certain phantom knight card which I forgot the name - lvl 3 dark dream mirror And probably even more which I forgot/haven't discovered yet
Technically speaking you don't need the Herald for Purrely players when running Goblin. Since you can just use one of the goblin cards to detach the baby kitty, you effectively turn off anything that a 5+ Noir does that's scary.
The snake eye game seemed weird. It would’ve been difficult, but if they were playing more of a modern snake eye fire king decklist where there are more snake eyes and less fire kings they could’ve broken that board and set up a few pop interruptions and set up like a flamberge on field, princess in grave, poenix would add back and garunix would potentially special summon out and do all those things. Idk if that’s enough to fully win, but it’s a lot of follow up and hard to remove stuff

@@SorrelYT nah, some hand traps are well-designed, like the ghost girls and imperm, and some are objectively terribly designed, like droll and shifter and droll was fine when it came out, back when it wasn't uncommon for decks to be playing a million draw spells like upstart and duality and allure, as well as when the game was slower. if droll ended your turn, it was fine, you likely weren't dying anyway and you could easily make a comeback. now, if it ends your turn, that's it, you just lose. same with maxx c
Between P.U.N.K, Gold Pride, Speedroid, Wheelder/Tracker, Level 3 Fiends, Adventure, and all the extra deck payoffs Rank 3 is looking good. I'm curious if Goblins are ultimately going to be the best way to do it. The graveyard recursion and disruption of opponents might be their ticket. It could be that whatever build dodges Droll the best comes out on top. Heck, go hogwild and build 60 card Punk Goblin Gold Pride Adventure Speedroid Kashtira Ghostrick.
one potential card for this achetype is Ashura King, 3 mat rank 3 that cand detach 1 to negate monster effects. provides extra mats for goblin summons and does a ton of damage going second
I like how grand entrance let you search for any goblin, meaning that you can play goblin attack force, or actually a lvl 4 goblin, and using the continuous spell to make goblins lvl 4 or 7
compared to other TMT's i feel this one gave alot more insight into how the deck actually works. It made it alot easier to actually understand how each individual card interacts with the deck, ad why its in the deck. Hopefully this is how other TMT's are because this was much more enjoyable and insightful.
Definitely love the list but I think u should use the gold Pride engine to make a even stronger board that also helps u make gossip shadow before 5 summons for nib
I've been playing goblins with gold pride, it's not super effective like with punk, but both archetypes help each other make their starter and often I manage to fill up board with xyz and grab leon for synchro as well
I recommend adding psychic engine (Punk engine, Psychic Wheeler, VW Nyan nyan). Beside they are Lv3 extenders, they are tuners can also be used to make Baronne through Malong.
terrortop is another one card starter, you can play wheeleder and tracker as extenders and ways to go into baronne, small world searches every monster in the deck, beatrice instead of beast can do the rollback lock, you can make bamboozling shadow turn 5, ghostrick engine is redundant, one of the virtual world level 3s can be a starter with a wheeleder or tracker. This deck has a lot of options, just needs to be optomized.
Fun fact, in the ocg structures manga, there is a actually a character that looks as human goblin, owns the Shop the protagonist obtener use for tournaments and had a duel with ana des, the incarnation of tour guide using a goblin beatdown strategy. I bet this guy will incluye the goblin raider package and will use as excuse to use tour guide as little love letter to Ana
what about a punk engine? its another way to do full combo without committing to your normal...and the discards most of the of the time can be the goblin revives itself
Been testing goblins for several weeks. The ghost trick variant pretty much just turbos out UDF. I’ve made a goblin/GP/Punk list with a higher consistent ceiling and layered interactions. MBT didn’t do bad with the list for a 10 minute testing video.
One thing i realised when testong riders is, you actually want to play the minimum amount required for a game rather than each as a 3 off because most of them dont let ,ou play without an xyz on board (which would be fine if the format had xyz but it doesnt). Instead you can abuse powerful cards such as psychic wheedeler or emergency teleport and ofc a small speedroid package, to pump put rank 3s much easier. also very notably if ypu dong expect your opp to be on crow you can always use noisy during opps main to trigger gabonga summon back dugg, get followup and then use xyz armor trap to go into whatever you are missing. Its also notable that i really dont like g the ghostrick package just because ot takes so much damn space in the ED. You arguably want to play the armor package twice and you also want to add a beast for lab and a beatrice because she is a ftk game two or three (send rollback send mayakashi trap skip their turn) i think the ed is too tight to warrant running basically a slightly better monster negate when we already have access to powerful cards such as ashura king, cicada king or gossip shadow. The funniest thing if you do use udf tho is to equip it with torpedo. Atleast it takes 2 interactions to out it then (e.g. kirin pop torpedo sp target udf)
IDK about this list, seems like it loses to every turn ending ht in the game. Also feel like you should be using the gy quick effects to summon a bunch of guys and then making another rank 3 on your opponents turn with full armoured xyz.

Gold Pride engine makes the end board a lot better but it sacrifices a lot of space for non engine that the deck needs
the gold pride "engine" takes up roughly half your main deck engine space and a third of your extra, it's a completely different build from this

It's worth noting that boon the mach speed is not a once per turn or chain...based on the text it can keep activating to detach.
