All i have to say is wow...... really really great!
I first commented on this video 3 years ago..... still watching this video to this day!
Thanks for posting this Justin - I was looking forward to this song at the last show (Ginko) and you didn't disappoint. I look forward to seeing you again.
Amazing, as always! I was just searching for videos for a research paper, and thought I'd see if you were on here. What was a great study break!!
Once you get done with the new project you'll have to come back to Boston!
Cool very celtic sounding, like it!
Awesome, reminds me of Billy Mclaughlin.
You know what man... All this time later and your version of this song playing... Right now as I listen to it, I'm quite literally seeing what I was seeing back then and how your fingers in the making of this video are so inspiring.... Quite literally breathtaking as I said all those years ago man! Bravo!! Encore!!!
Thank you so much, David! That recording of “Bagshot Row“ is an oooooold video. That’s back when RUclips was a baby. Ha ha. And you were kind enough to comment on it way back then. I appreciate it! 👍
@@justinrothmusic 🤔😄 yep I'm a true-blooded RUclipsr rofl (throwback 😏😉)
But now for real man, this recording is hands down one of RUclips's greatest original jamming vids of the Early days! This in my honest opinion is what music should be
@Dave32488 You and me, the OGs! Thanks
Saw you play this in Duluth 20 years ago in a coffee shop that’s closing on Sunday. Fun memory!
Was that Amazing Grace? I was sad to hear they were closing shop. That place really got me started and gave me a lot of support. I was just in Duluth last month and also noticed that Lakeview Coffee Emporium in Fitger's appeared to be gone as well. My first ever gig was there! Thanks for tuning in after all these years. :-)
@@justinrothmusic It was Amazing Grace. My girlfriend at the time was a big fan of yours and brought me down there to see the show. It was quite the Duluth institution.
amazing!
O cara toca muito, esse nasceu pra tocar, Deus Abençoe.
Very very nice :)
and with this one comment I officially understand how guitar tuning works. :S
Thank you very much for Posting this Justin. I am hoping you get a transcription out for this. I am loving learning this style of guitar playing. Is the tuning DADGAD or lower?
nice dude. u should get into fingerstyle guitar cause u can do the samething but this is innovative keep up the good work.
Are you playing open E?
nice technique. you should check out Andy McKee. He is pretty good at it too.
Did you have the action lowered on your 812ce? You can hear the fret buzz from time to time but personally, I like it. Makes no difference. The action seems effortless.
I'm playing in DADGAD. I don't have the action lower than usual on my 812. What you hear is the back string noise that happens when you tap high up the neck (you can hear it when I tap the 12th fret of the high E). It's the note of the string from the 12th fret to the nut, along with the 12th fret to the saddle. Sometimes the back string noise is actually useful and not nearly as dissonant. To do so, sometimes you need to actually fret a note BEHIND the one you're actually playing so you can change the note of the backstring pitch. You can hear me use it intentionally from 2:07-2:15. I'm only tapping one note at a time on the high E, but you can hear two notes and the interval change. Thanks for listening!
