    If you want to explore more of the moors and learn more about the farms that were there, it's worth getting hold of a copy of David Clayton's book - Lost Farms of Brinscall Moors. It gives a history of the farms and contains a number of walks to visit each of them.

    You'll find plenty of spots for a cheeky wild camp. Just to the South East of me. I saw one or three on Nicky Nook last week.

    I do prefer it there in a drought or hard frost. I tend to go from Abbey Village, its easier and faster to get to for me, about 15 minutes.
