An increasing number of Ukrainian and U.S. military generals view Ukraine's prospects in the conflict with Russia as grim.In recent days, the Russian army has been experiencing its biggest advance in the Donbas since the SMO began in 2022. According to Western media, the biggest shortcoming for Ukraine is becoming a lack of manpower and its outdated artillery, despite the support it receives from Western countries. Moreover, the Ukrainian army is increasingly facing desertion.

On top of that, time is also running out for Ukraine.

Mearsheimer, macgregor and mcgovern called this months ago. It's simple math and history, russia willing to take great pain if strategically nb and usa tends to cut and run with changes in political winds. They know russia no threat to baltics and Poland but used it to inflame public opinion. People exhausted and sick of the money flowing to a lost cause while they suffer. Ukranians didn't need to die but politicians ambitions won out.

Russians are now bypassing cities, flanking them and cutting them off. The last four or five cities have been taken this way with most of the infrastructure intact. Russians have the numbers now to do the large-scale flanking movements that they were not able to do earlier in the SMO (whereas Ukraine's numbers are also dwindling, thus Russia's advantage is increasing over time)

    • @martinhuhn7813
      @martinhuhn7813 2 дня назад +2

Siversk is far less relevant, Capturing the ara would not break the Ukrainian line of defense, but only secure the frontline in that region and shorten russian supply lines in an area, where not much more is propably going to happen, because Russia is going to be able to just go around the main frontline. The offensive in the Pokrovsk area on the other hand, is designed to break through. However, the Russians can keep advancing south of the city itself, therefore it´s not clear how soon they will actually try to capture it.

RF did not take Plekhovo from north, other way around.
You just received the geolocations the other way around.
"Kharkiv way more important than Donbass"
That's a flawed way to look at it. Donbass, Kharkov and Crimea were in 2013, the 3 most prosperous regions in UA.
Kharkov is also ONE city and oblast, with 1-1.5M people while Donbass is 3-5M people.
Also, the regions used to be highly interconnected, with Donbass providing much of the raw materials for Kharkov's industries.
With that no longer being true, Kharkov loses a lot of its importance, because it's just too uneconomic for a lot of its industry to run even if it was complete peace.
    "to hold this line"
OR, RF is setting up more secure lines by mining to allow for easier and a more focused offensive.
    Either is possible.
    "slowing down"
Have there been rains in that area yet? There's some statements of localised mud there which would slow things down...

Please tell us where the north koreans are fighting. I expect that they want to get experience in operating in a real war, individually, and with larger units like groups of 3, 10, 20, 100, 500, etc. The also need experience on company level, brigade level. For them it is a good training. And I expect to see more korean troops at the front.

Kurakhove is pronounced "Ku RAK hovah" or "Ku RAK hovoh", really kind of in between. Hard to say if its one or the other. lol. 2 syllables: "Ku RAK", not 1 syllable. It's not Kura. Annunciate the second syllable: RAK, so Ku RAK hovah = Kurakhove.
Even in UKRAINIAN, it is pronounced:
"Kur RAK hov". So, either way, there is no "kura". Ku RAK hovoh. Since they speak mostly RUSSIAN in the Donbass.

    youir explaation is quiet confusing.
Never be able to understand, where exactly it is in google maps.
often with same name, there exists many places in many oblasts.
also, you never show spelling of places and your pronunciation often ocnfuses and mixed iwth some other places.
and yoiu never zoom in properly to see entire Ukraine map before moving to next location
now a days, it just looks like a routine story, some places, occupied, moved some distance and anyhow specific details, is quiet unclear and stopped trying to undertand exactly what the places are.
    Only surprising this is that,
you are putting lots of efforts but becomes uselss, if not clear to the audience in locating the places in google maps
