Another great showcase of the models! Personally I quite enjoy this new Swedish range, though I've still yet to come entirely to grips with some of the intricacies of some of the new sculpts when painting. There are two things not that I would like to add to what was already shown on the video, mainly in comparison to the old GNW range as well as the contemporary WSS range. First, the sculpts are chunkier than the old GNW range, and perhaps slightly even compared to the current WSS range of miniatures, though at the scale we are looking at it isn't a major issue. However, the second thing to add is that the cast pikes and the bayonets DO NOT SNAP in the way that some of the earlier cast pikes and bayonets might have done. Compared to the old GNW range's cast pikes these new ones are quite a bit taller and sturdier, though if your storage solution has been very minutely calculated to fit the older ranges be prepared to add five or so millimetres of extra height.
Just come across this series and really impressed. Thank you for taking the time - so interesting to hear more about the range. Particularly relevant for me as the early GNW range became my first major Baccus 6mm project. Great stuff & more please !
Thanks for the kind words. Looking at how many books that are now readily available on the GNW, it is strange to think that back then it was an unknown and exotic outlier to the Spanish Succession.
Another great video. I'm close to starting my first 6mm army. Just need to do the difficult bit and figure out period and rules. So much to choose from. Hoping to get to St Helens to see you in person to see some models and get some ideas
@@baccus6mm100 throughout the video there is a reasonable hiss in the background when you speak, I'm not sure whether it's because of your microphone or the room you are doing it in. If youre recording at a computer with a microphone, it might be picking up the noise from a loud computer fan. My recommendation without knowing your set up would be to record the audio using the voice recorder app on an apple or android phone, in a quiet room away from a computer or other loud noise. Phone microphones these days will usually be pretty good and wont pick up as much noise as this and you can just transfer the phone audio onto your computer for editing.
@@DylanSwayneHughes The voice sequences are recorded using a headseat mic in voice recorder and then grafted on to the video sequence. I will see if I can use an audio editor to clean these tracks up for the next video.
@@baccus6mm100 seems like it might be the mic then, trying to clean the noisy audio wont be as effective as switching to a quieter microphone, like that of a phone. Good luck either way! the actual content on the video is great!

Thanks for your support! More videos are in the pipeline....
Awesome video Peter. I actually have that WI article in a folder, and it started my interest in the GNW.
More videos of this type will be welcomed.

I will be happy to help!
Please post more videos to this channel
Even better than the second!... great stuff!... and not my period at all...
Can you do a showcase on the wars of the roses please
I would love to! I aim to get some more videos done in the new year.
Hi Peter, How are you currently recording your audio? Just thinking if there's a simple way to improve the amount of noise in the background.
Oh dear. I thought that I HAD improved the sound quality! Are you finding this a universal issue or just on portions of the video?
