Wow, that is a nice little meter. 9999 count accuracy is great for a meter at this price point, usually meters are either 2000, 4000 or 6000 count accuracy. For the features and the accuracy, I think $27 is a good deal.
i think it is better at the end of video if you write down the list of pros you see and list of cons , Also if you may, do review of Aneng AN8009 vs Mestek DM91A - do include your recommendations at the end, he3 :)
Had this exact meter for a few months last year before binning it. It's absolutely the worst meter I've ever used, can't even compare to a $10 manual ranging meter that's still in my car's glove box, at least that $10 is reliable enough to read DCV. What bothered me very much is that when i measured 9v battery using the battery mode for a little too long, a fuse got blown, then the regular DCV measurement got completely incorrect readings. It took me a while to figure out the fuse blown directly resulted in the inaccurate regular DCV reading. After I replaced the fuse, the reading got back to normal! i was like WTF? And although the meter can warn about blown fuses, it sometimes didn't work/warn me, so it took me quite a bit of time to figure what actually went wrong. I can't even recommend this meter to hobbyists. This is just a random meter that its measurements and behaviours are just too random. If you had to troubleshoot a board while troubleshooting your meter at the same time, it'd be a living hell.
This appears to be a great meter at that price. Thank you for reviewing this. Great job as always.
Thanks for the review, great video, very informative. I bought mine today in the UK for £16.99.
Now make sure the capacitor is discharged before you do this test. :D Very good point made here!
