Hi Cat, with respect to your question about the Indigenous mythology of the Pinnacles, they believe that young men were told by their elders not to enter the vast sand dunes. Those that dared enter were lost to the sands and the pinnacles are the fingertips of those that did not listen to their elders.
Glad you two made it for a quick overnight break. I told you there is so much to discover up there along the coast and it is only a short cruisy drive from Perth. We are heading up to lancelin soon for a 2 night weekender staying at the "Experience lancelyn Holiday Park" . Yeah we take 2 x 4WD's up there as plenty of places to explore & have fun in the sand. We go to the Endevour Tavern in the middle of Town overlooking the beach for a pub meal which has that Irish Pub vibe and is very popular. For a relaxing day trip explore Yanchep National Park & the historic Yanchep Inn overlooking the lake & check out Yanchep Lagoon Beach (sheltered by a reef) & then just up the road to Two Rocks - Neptunes cafe overlooking the marina & ocean (that whole area up there has that UK small village vibe). Other nice places - Moore River - Seabird (nice pub overlooking the ocean adjacent the caravan park) - Ledge (nice RAC caravan park) Lots of unpowered beach camping sites along the coast as you will discover in due course, but you will need to get that 4WD on your bucket list. A lot of poms live in Woodvale & Kingsley haha
Hi Cat, sorry to add to your collection of randoms sending you questions, but my wife and I are moving to Perth from Birmingham at the start of September. My work is sorting the visa, flights and giving us 2 weeks accommodation, but any ideas on how successful we'll be at finding somewhere to rent via virtual viewings before we fly out (we doubt we can secure somewhere in just the 2 weeks)? Main complication is we're flying out cats out in November to join us and from my research basically no one will rent to someone with pets.
Fab trip. I love all your Hats!!
I love Kingsley shopping centre. When there a couple weeks ago for my flu jab and realised this a gourmet food mecca.... Thanks for the gr8 Vids!
Traveling with you through your videos 😍
