  • Family lineage in the NFL is a lot more common than you think. There have been some famous brother duos and famous cousin duos, but arguably nothing is more valuable to a family than a father/son duo who both stepped foot on an NFL field. But when you think of legendary father/son duos, who do you think is better most of the time? Is the father the better of the bunch, or is the son trained so well that he becomes better than his pops? That’s what we’re here to discuss. In this video, we’ll be going over a handful of the best father/son duos in NFL history, and comparing their careers to see who is truly the better generation.

Archie Manning was my favorite QB when I was a kid. When a game with the Saints was televised in my region, I was elated. I couldn't have cared less whether the Saints won. I was an Archie fan. He developed that rushing ability out of sheer necessity because the Saints brass gave him a trash line, and no one who could catch a football.
Highlights do not capture how great he was. Some of his most amazing plays are nowhere to be found because many resulted in incompletions. In a typical Archie play, he'd evade a sack under heavy rush in unbelievable manner, spin 360, throw a perfect 40-yard strike... and the WR would bobble the pass and it would be an INT.
Remember that Super Bowl where Pat Mahomes lost after running for his life all game and throwing "TD" passes that were repeatedly dropped? That was Archie's entire career in a nutshell.

much love for Peyton and Eli, but personally, I think the Sedin twins are the best brothers in sports. Sure, they never won a Stanley Cup, but they were both so dominate during their careers, they got drafted together (by the same team!), they retired together, and they got their jersey numbers retired together. I think any brother duo would want that kind of career!

The name is pronounced "sur-TAN." Of the greatest brother duos in all sports, the Baseball Hall of Famers Paul and Lloyd Waner; and Hockey Hall of Famers Maurice and Henri Richard outrank the Mannings. And what about the three generation NFL family, the Matthews?
