Okay so I'm not tripping. I read up to page 120(ish) and then moved on to other books. It just felt so petty and that's not what I needed in my life at that moment. That was in December and I'm just now about start back reading it. I already know that I'm going to be irritated lol. If I'm going to be 100% ....Inan and Zelie have been annoying me since the first book. This is for sure an unpopular opinion but their love story didn't do anything for me. However, I was absolutely OBSESSED with the first book. I took it with me to read everywhere I went.
You are definitely not tripping! It was petty and I'm hopefully the next book will be different because I love the world. Just like you said, I completely agree, that I LOVED the first book tho the romance was also not for me. I hope you can make it through V&V and maybe you'll enjoy it more this time! But I'm still holding out for the last book!
