the only reason that you burn that resistor is because you did not pay attention to voltage levels once you change the tubes, no reason to replaced all capacitors from tht board
The resistor was already burnt when this amp was brought to me to fix it so I don't know when that happen and what was the reason. But definitely when the person who own this amp installed the kt120 straight happened that was not working the amplifier. And I presume because kt120 draw more current than kt88 so that was the problem why the resistor burnt. Then regarding the capacitors we changed because they was looking horrible and had leaked
Nice job but I have some comments: Negative voltage open oh no good for the output tubes, the run into red heat, course there is no break to keep the current down. That's why I hate chips and IC's especially to regulate voltages. Best way a 60vac on the power transfer and rectify a negative bias voltage. Way more reliable. Oké it was a resistor gone badly but this was course a tube run over its limits. Aha again Solen imitation caps, Chinese have copied them, if I had this Amp the first things to replace are these ones, originals never ever fry up like these. You have to be very careful with China build caps, a part was a complete failior, like the video uploader says caps who gets bad the will become a high resistor at the begin, resistance goes lower till the DC current gets too high and the Amp burns out or tubes fry or output transformers. The repair guy did a good job replace it all, even messuring good. The best way to repair. Oh and dump those "tube dempers" what are they demping? The glass envolop? The metal parts inside still gets vibrations. Another thing tubes with these cool a lot more badly, glass only is the design to cool best
Thanks for your comment and I appreciate it, so the white caps was ordered from France genuine caps and my friend want it to be with the autobias in order that he can swap different tubes inn. Also I don't like that much autobias and prefer to make just for one type of tubes and adjust manualy the perfect bias for the tube and run it like that
I agree with your opinion of the auto bias. Were you able to find a schematic for this amplifier? I am thinking of buying one off the used market. Great video@@SymbolTech21
@@NosEL34 I couldn't find the schematic for exactly this model I found for an other model which the values of components is hard to read but the schematic is quite similar
Very nice 👏👏👏 keep it up!❤
Thank you, I will
the message,do not use kt120 in this amp.thank you.was considering it.
If you will do the modification I did then yes you can use the 120.

I think I own this amp , it’s an identical spec to mine
It's a good amp and with the mods I did now can enjoy kt120
