I appreciate the dread and desperation in this song, Gilbert communicating the horrors of the plague as he pleads to be let outside one last time before he's not himself ever again.
My favorite line in this whole song: "Someone's there, someone's there, night is coming and I'm scared". It feels so genuine and honest, like he's just moments away from his fate and all the verbose writing just gives away to his insecurities. Under it all, he's terrified of what will happen to him.

This whole song is just masterfully crafted. Some small details I really wanted to point out: 1:00 is when we hear a woman's voice begin in the background, Gilbert is losing himself, he's becoming more scared. 1:10 the voice stops as he begins to focus his thoughts on who could've caused this 1:12 the voice comes back at the mention of blood, like he's on the grasp of understanding what may be going on 1:22 the voice goes away again and we get a guitar rift, which I think is like the "beastly idiocy" taking over for a moment, he's coughing and the sickness is getting to him 2:45 again as Gilbert gets scared the woman's voice in the background climbs, he focuses his thoughts on someone being at the door and the voice goes away I could just be over analyzing this song but with how the song plays out I can't help but think that this song beautifully captures how a lot of the characters felt during the whole thing, being on the cusp of having enough insight to know what is going on, losing yourself and slowly turning into a beast as the world around you falls apart. It all is captured so beautifully.
I 100% agree that the guitar is his encroaching beasthood. It has that brutal and "wrong" feeling. Don't get me wrong, it's badass and fits perfectly, but at the same time it's completely unexpected and sudden, just like all the transformations we see in game.

0:00 Let's see if it's good.
0:35 OH MY FRICKING GOD HOW ON EARTH CAN SOMEONE BE SO GOOD AT THIS
There is so much double entendre with bloodborne and coronavirus, it's uncanny. The whole song gave me goosebumps - Tyler is so goddamn talented and i cannot wait for his new album to release.
"I've been marked the plague's possession" is a line that goes SUPER HARD
Imagine someone in real world named Gilbert, who actually got COVID-19 and is prisoned in his home during quarantine.
Oh man, is it just me or Bloodborne and Real Universe just starting to merge?
Please don't say that, thats litterally the last thing we need lol
What we need is more eyes...
When the word needed him the most, he’s returned
Mmm yes finally! I've been eagerly waiting for this song to upload! Never would expect a song about someone who most people probably have only talked to once in their playthrough. Absolutely love this song, one of the best bloodborne songs you've done so far!
It's like the type of song that, you more you hear it, the better it gets.
If the album is as good as this song my ears are going to explode in joy.
this is literally the anthem of quarantine
when the world needed him most, he came back once again!
I love these guys, my daughter got me into this and i listen to them all the time now.
I know a bunch of people have mentioned it, but I realised the parallels between this song and the current climate the other week while listening to it, and it comes to mind every time now. Honestly, I could probably write a whole essay drawing a comparison!
Songs like these do such an impressive job at reminding me of how drastically your style has changed since 2011.
Fantastic work.
It took me half way to realise not only is it a bloodborne song but also a quarantine song and one I can not only get behind but it is a fantastic one as always. And always happy to hear another Aviators song!
We are born by aviators, made men by aviators, undone by aviators. Our eyes are yet to open
When I listen to these songs I don't think about the games and this just gives me chills
iam simple man, i see a new avi music, i click on it
You know, I started into Aviators with Godhunter.... and damn if it didnt spiral out of control from there. Each of their songs hits like a kick in the gut, but out of everything, i think this is one of my favorites
I always collect your bloodborne and dark souls songs. I have a dedicated playlist just for your songs, in fact. It’s been more than half a decade, and I doubt I’ll ever tire of listening.
The bells are so perfect
When I first started listening to aviators, I thought there's no way I could ever sing along to this
Fast forward to today:*my shower is a concert area*
Gilbert is a very minor, yet cool character. It’s amazing you chose him for a song, and it makes sense. We can relate to Gilbert now more than ever. Wise and smart, Avi, very clever. Awesome song too, as always.
Well, I know what I'm listening to for the next few days.
Man, the story of Gilbert is one of my favorites, i truely feel for the man, and this song is absolutely great in telling his tale
I’ve enjoyed this thoroughly despite being only half way done with it
Is Outside about staying inside because of Covid? 🤕
That bridge is amazing, how do you get even better with every album? Can't wait for it, having 2021 start with an Avi album is the best possible way to forget about 2020
You are a gift that keeps giving. Love your work, take care of yourself, and best wishes.
2:30 was when I realized this was an analogy for our quarantine.
1. Amazing work
2. Hyped for dreams of the deep
was gonna go to bed... but that's gotta wait 7 minutes
First song of 2021 and only 1 month 'til the album release. LET'S GOOOOOOOOO!
Yeah! I'm with you!
@@rachelwoods6760 no one can stop this hellbound hype train
@@HenningsEdits Well, I just don't know how excited I am too! And I have to confess, this feeling held in my chest is so hard to ignore!
I've been waiting for a new bloodborne song. Yes!
ITS OFFICIAL!!!!!!!
this song is the ballad theme for good doggo's who wait for their humins to come home and get driven mad by the zoomie elder gods until the trance is broken upon their masters return.
dont believe me?
"let me see the sky one last time. come home and take me outside."
thats a doge wanting to go out before night time and their humin is sadly at work.
I love the subtle details how making his voice deeper at the end of the song to let us know that he finally turned into a beast.
This was absolutely influenced by quarantine, some of the lines just hit too close to the feeling. I wouldn’t be surprised if the feeling of quarantine is what made him start thinking of how the npcs like Gilbert felt.
Aviators truly waited for the perfect opportunity to make a song about Gilbert XD
Man I can't decide if I like this song or Miracle of Sound's A Thousands Eyes more...fuck it both are awesome!
I've been listening to this on repeat for the past 4 hours
I’ve been listening to your music for years and you never disappoint. Keep up the amazing work!
Just woke up from a nap to this beautiful piece, well done Avi
Magnificent as always. Keep up the great work
This song it's so painfully close to the real situation that we live.
Yet another great song to jam to
"YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES"
