Great figure, I am developing a renewed interest in the Eco Warriors. I always loved the updated Toxo-Viper sculpt, and the Toxo Zombie brings it to a whole new level 😎
I love the idea of him being an individual character and patient zero. I can see Cesspool glaring up at him in the Toxo Lab tank and musing over how to best use Toxo Zombie to Cobra's advantage. :{
@@gijoburg I was trying to see if that background lighting was flickering. I have been backtracking for 1-1/2 years through every podcast. I am on episode 55, currently. Joeburg is my yard work companion. I will be sad when I finish on episode 1. 😞
This dude is a hell of a figure. I just bought one, because I found him for cheap. He’s one of my all time ‘best Joe’s. Alas, part of the reason I got him for cheap (most of the time, he goes for more than my budget for figures) is because his boot foot is melted (?!) but I like beat-up Joes. Someone had some adventures with them. Literally the only complaint I have with the mold is that it’s the newer version of the toxo viper as the basis. The OG Toxos are my #2 favorite viper (after Astro-Vipers) and he’d stick out in a gang of those guys, but *shrug*. Unfortunately, yeah, the unique damage does put a hamper on multiples, but I’m not complaining.
Extra unique damage in the case of your one! It’s the perfect figure to have a melted boot, even more so if it netted you a sweet deal. Glad you’re enjoying it!
06:54 I know you don't care for the Super 7/ReAction Figures (and for legitimate reasons), but I still wish you'd get the "Snow Viper Robot" from the "Gamemaster" Episode of the GI Joe Cartoon. The lack of articulation at least makes sense for those stiff bots from that episode. And I can imagine Cobra Commander wanting some payback after that episode and ordering Cesspool to do some "research" on that robot by dunking it in the Toxo-Lab tank and seeing what it can withstand.
Did you ever get the Zombie Initiative Convention box set, Eco Warriors Toxo-Lab, and/or the Valor Vs. Venom Venomization Chamber? Just felt like your buddy here could use some friends or a lab to hang out in.
I’ve been looking at the Toxo-Lab on the Bay recently. It’s not popping up too often and commands a hefty pricetag! Boo to waiting too late because I’m sure they’ve not been desirable before very recently.
As you probably know from past comments, I hope to find a Hammerhead of my own someday and I'm trying to figure out who to crew it with. It obviously comes w/ Devastator and he would be in the command pod. I would get Eel V 2, but I think he's a better match w/ the older BUGG due to the color scheme. And Eel V 1 has always been a standby for the Hydrofoil, Hydrosled, and the inflatable raft, so he's already got an assignment. I already mentioned putting the Hydro Viper on Sled 1. I want to put a Cyber Viper in the Driver's Compartment since they are specifically trained to control Mega Monsters such as the Bio Viper. I have no idea where I'd put that beast due to just how big he is. If by some miracle I can make his legs fit, I just might leave the decompression open and have him ride in that. And I already got the Cobra La Crew on assignment as well. (Guard on Pogo, Golobulus and Enforcer in the Terrordrome. Pythona is wherever Serpentor is and fawning over him just like the movie). I don't think the Aliens from the later years are a good fit for this vehicle (personal taste I guess). The mutated Eel from Valor Vs Venom would also be good for the BUGG and Hammerhead as well. Same for the Kraken from Action Force as that bad guys from that line never got their own waterborne craft. Nor the Diver from the Iron Grenadiers. The various incarnations of Croc Master (as one of the comic lines indicated that there were several Croc Masters through the years) would also be a good choice, but I figured he would be on the Water Moccasin instead with Copperhead as they seemed to be more the "swamp" sort. There's also Admiral Latimer, but he's a custom figure that is hard to find and costs an arm and a leg. Another fine legend from the Red Lasers of the world. Anyway, I guess that leads me up to the Toxo-Zombie, 50th anniversary packs, and the Cobra Zombies that were made later on for sell at conventions. Do you think these things drown? Are they somewhat resistant to water rot and water pressure? I mean, they are already dead. I was just thinking maybe you could throw a zombie on the other sleds for these various water vehicles since well...they're already dead and would probably not drown. They might not even need Scuba! Anyway, I am sorry for the long wall of text Steve and the rest of Joburg. I would like your thoughts on the matter though. I'd really appreciate it as I'm struggling to figure out who to use to man the outer vehicles w/o closed compartments on the BUGG, Hammerhead, and Manta water craft due to the fact that most troops in cobra are not trained in Scuba and are lacking in Scuba tanks or implanted gills. Again, apologies for the long wall of text. Any comments/help/suggestions from the GI Joburg crew would be greatly appreciated in this matter.
Just got the modern Zombie Viper Two-Pack this weekend!

Such a hidden gem! Co bruhhhhhh… burg
you need to do a Christmas episode for Cobra and this guy is one of the ghosts that visit the Commander during the night
Ghost of Viper Future? Doesn't even have to talk.
This is gold.
Loved this one from day 1 got at the Long Beach CA Kay-Bee Toy Store and the card art was equally impressive as the figure itself!
I love the idea of him being an individual character and patient zero. I can see Cesspool glaring up at him in the Toxo Lab tank and musing over how to best use Toxo Zombie to Cobra's advantage. :{
Great review bro! 👏
Appreciate it!
Great figure, and great review!!! I love me some zombies, and this guy really scratches that itch. 😊
I had that one back in the day. Awesome figure. The colors work for the figure; but I would like to see one with a more, traditional cobra palette.
Modern Cobra Zombies from the old JoeCons?
@@dubuyajay9964 totally. So we do have an answer to the question of what it would look like. And I’m like: no fun!
@@gijoburg They had more realistic "icky" bits though.
6:12. The devastation zone from the Benelux Catalogue?
Totally! Something in that goo neath the mist…
Can’t wait for the classified version
At least if this figure lost a thumb or its crotch it would add to its grotesque-ness. Zombies man
True! Fortunately these guys seem pretty robust tho.
Hey, you got any of the Convention Zombie Packs by chance? I was wondering how those figures were?
@@NodDisciple1 ah the ol E.C.O Force? I do not.
I’d like to think General’s Joes reviewed them on his website back in the day?
Toxie in the Burg. Great video Steve.
Now, I want this figure. More money out the window. ☹️ Was this filmed by candlelight, like your childhood night battles?
You bet! I love a bit of atmosphere. The flicker can’t be beat!

You have inspired me yet again..I think I want to do a Zombie play motion video now..cool review man
I think I'm going to have nightmares after watching this review........#TeamViper...😨
What a wild figure! Gotta get my hands on this bad boy. Awesome job of explaining it Stevie !
Toxic review 🙌 Great details on this figure
🧟♀️🧟♂️🧪🧫🧬☣☢ Before Umbrella, there was Cobraaaaaa (La?)!
It's the Alpha cannibal!!! ;-p

@@gijoburg Found out zombie sets were sold in stores for the 50th Anniversary too. Going to have to search Ebay and the like for them nowadays.

Such a sad figure. The stuff of greek tragedies.
These are so cool!!
Nope, still don’t like him 😅. And I DO try 😂. Great review though. 👍
Doesn’t fit any of your carefully selected colour pallets! 😝
Try the modern ones from the old Joe Cons.
