How curious
The most fundamental existential Mechanism in the universe is “Exploration of degrees of freedom”.
Information describes the kinetic and potential of this exploration. The most effective structure for this exploration is when there is a processing unit,a storage unit and a mechanical unit for the information.
This triune structure can be seen from human beings with a conscious(processing unit) ,subconscious/genetics(storage unit) and body(mechanical unit) to a black hole with a holographic surface (mechanical unit),bulk(processing unit), singularity(storage unit).

Information = in-formation
Since it is in formation, it comes before the form is complete. All matter has a form. So information comes before matter.
What if...
Information = Energy patterns?
A field is a physical quantity that changes throughout spacetime.
What if information is the device that encodes the change patterns of the energy field?

What is meant by information? Is information physical or other substance?
They seem to be saying that matter is information in the sense that it can be understood with information theory. I'm sure many of them think that it is some kind of physical information, but they are just projecting. Information is only created and used by a mind, so nothing in nature contains information, not even DNA.
Information is a way of quantifying the number of states a system can be in. So a binary digit stored in a computer could be in one of two states, so a fundamental particle might have several states it could be in. The physical processes that act on a system transform it's state, and so also change the information it represents, and it turns out that all of quantum mechanics can be re-phrased purely in terms of changing information states. I hope that helps.
@@simonhibbs887 That's what I meant to say, but I never cared enough to listen closely and learn the terms. I really wish they had coined a new word for this kind of "information" in order to avoid confusing laymen and some scientists who will go around insisting that mindless particles are "made of information" when they certainly aren't.
@@caricue I honestly don't know how seriously to take the question of whether information is fundamental. On the one hand it's a fascinating way to think about physics and the world and interesting insights are coming out from it. On the other hand information is essentially just a description, so really all were saying is that the state of particles and systems can be consistently considered in terms of irreducible descriptions. I mean, that really shouldn't be surprising right?
@@simonhibbs887 I think we are agreeing on this point but using different verbiage. As long as everyone understands that we are projecting "information" onto nature, there isn't a problem, but many people do talk as if there really is information out there somewhere. It's the same with math in nature. Some people, even scientists, will see a cow wander into the pasture where two cows are already present, and say that math happened, but nature has no mind, so no math or information can happen, even if someone insists that they have seen it.
Information is nothing more than perceptions of various aspects of reality - what these aspects are CONVEYING - and what each of us as individuals are capable of understanding. For example, space and time to a physicist A might convey one thing, but to physicist B quite another.

There was an early investigator who insisted that at the moment of death the body got slightly lighter as the soul departed. He had data and everything. Of course, it was nonsense. Where's your data?

... No mass, but there is a specific unit of energy attached to a single "bit" of nondimensional information. That miniscule amount of energy allows for mathematical calculations which actually increase the amount of available energy. A simple equation such as (1 + 1 = ?) doubles the amount of available information energy. This is how information propagated into multidimensionality (i.e., the universe). When nondimensional information energy is forced into dimensionality, you end up with quarks, electrons, and gluons.
This also does not violate the 2nd Law of thermodynamics because the 0-dimenion is not a closed system.
It's more that mass has information.

In a simplified version, information might be the instructions for every process happening at a quantum level leading to the existence of mater and the whole universe with all its exotic processes happening
I think there's enough argument there to presume Vakarelov pre-cognitive semantic information: there's the interface theory of meaning, "how can information-using systems exist and what makes them such"
But there are consistent circular proofs so it's not clear that information has some natural value

No physicist would argue that. There is no theoretical possibility nor observation of such fact.
How does information come up in general relativity?
This goes to the heart of the disagreement I have with panpsychists that think consciousness is everywhere and everything is conscious. If consciousness is a form of information processing, it doesn't follow that all information processing is a form of consciousness, any more than a horse being a form of animal means all animals are horses. Nevertheless they're on the right track because information is everywhere and all physical processes are information processes, or even computational processes in some sense.

Funny enough, neither these guys nor anyone else is able to give a definition of WHAT IS INFORMATION...
This is like saying a hammer conveys information about motion to a nail when it is used to bash a nail into a board. Sure, you can describe it this way, sort of, but you have to push word usage to it's limits. And doing so allows you to conflate data with gravity, for example, which confuses the discussion and opens a door for a gap for a god to fill.

Did I understand correctly that we are talking about overcoming the speed of light? Through quantum entanglement? In principle, we move faster than the speed of Light in the Universe, and we are also information). But is it true that through quantum entanglement humanity can theoretically teleport one bit of information to any distance instantly? It looks like this, but is it?

There are probably other topics in physics that would connect better with the point you are trying to make. I’m not sure you understand exactly what information is in the is context. It’s not really a source of power of any sort. It’s more like a fundamental part of the universe that anything that can be taken or used. Your point would be better served on the topic of energy or something similar.
The distant galaxies are *not* expanding away from us. An infinitely expanding universe is utterly nonsensical. It’s the *distance* between us and distant galaxies that is expanded (not “expanding”) from the effect of general relativity from the lack of matter and mass between us and distant objects.
Dark energy isn’t needed to explain the red shift because the lack of matter in outer space explains the expansion of distance between the enormous gravitational wells of very large masses of super massive black holes.
Time also speeds up where there is less matter so there is no need for dark matter to explain the faster movement of the outer spiral arms of galaxies.
The problem is that they are not taking into account simple general relativity. They aren’t considering the variable rate of time and the differing measures of distance due to the amount of matter in the vicinity.
Einstein burned into peoples minds that the speed of light doesn’t change. The units of measurement to measure the speed of light do change over large distances and galaxies cover large distances. That means that the speed of light does change over large distances as observed by us.
The speed of light doesn’t change. The rate of time changes and the measure of distance changes… *which effectively changes the speed of light as we observe it over great distances.*
Time runs faster in outer space where there is no matter and much less gravity. This is the reason the outer spiral arms of the galaxies move much faster than expected. It’s because events take place at a faster rate the less mass and gravity there is.
Distance is expanded in outer space (not expanding). Plasma jets do not stream out five times the speed of light since the distance is expanded away from gravity wells. If the distance within a galaxy affects the rate of time and the measure distance that much, *just think what happens to time and distance in deep outer space where there is no matter in our line of sight!* The distances between us and the galaxies that we see are extreme!
Time doesn’t run at the same rate everywhere in the universe. Time runs faster in outer space. It just dawned on me the other day that a thousand years and a single day happen at the same time in different places throughout the universe. It's simple (observed) general relativity. Time slows down and distance is contracted because of gravity where there is massive amounts of matter. Conversely, time speeds up and distance is greatly expanded where there is no matter in vast expanses of outer space.
This eliminates the need for dark matter since time is sped up in the outer spiral arms of a galaxy where there is not nearly as much matter. It eliminates the need for dark energy in outer space where distance is expanded where there is no matter.
So the result of general relativity is that billions of years pass by in outer space (13 some billion years) at the same time as thousands of years pass by where we are inside of the Milky Way galaxy. ...!
Billion of years and mere thousands of years are the same thing *at the same time* in deep outer space and where we are, according to physics and according to relativity.
In review, time slows down where we are. Time speeds up with less gravity so the outer spiral arms of galaxies move faster. There is no need for dark matter.
Distance increases where there is no matter in outer space. There is no need for dark energy to expand space since the expansion of space is from not having any matter far away from the galaxies.
Deep time (billions of years) and thousands of years exist simultaneously in this universe where there is no single rate of time or measure of distance!
Just think what could be the reality *when* the photons register with our eyes or our cameras/detectors and there is a collapse of the wave function as seen or detected by us within our dilated time and distance. (Our rate of time is not the universal rate of time, especially for photons.)
Conclusion: The time it took for Creation and since Creation in the Bible is absolutely true! Time itself is a (real) fabrication.
Only your Creator can perfectly cover for you Himself and remake you again from the inside out by the power of His true word as no one else ever can since all of your mistakes are on and against your Maker.
General Relativity does not support creation. There is no universal clock ticking in the background because time is property of the Cosmos. The first moment of time that physics model was planck time or t^-43s before that Relativity predicts that the Cosmos would be a singularity which is a state of perfect symmetry and perfect equilibrium. The standard model along with General Relativity describes how the Cosmos evolved from the singularity to what we see today and that entire sequence of events is what is known as the Big Bang.
Physics do not know where the singularity came from and if something came before that it would be part of the Cosmos. They do not know how long the singularity existed because time did not exist as we know it. Asking about the origin of the Cosmos is pointless. In physics when they talk about the Cosmos it is in the context of what they can observe. There is a lot of the Cosmos that is just unobservable.
