Good morning, my little winglets! Welcome to another SOPLANE Trip Report. Today, we are turbopropping it from Siem Reap in Cambodia (home to Angkor Wat!) to Bangkok on an ATR72. Once again, Bangkok Airways shows off why they are Asia's Boutique Airline! Complimentary meal and lounge access for a 1 hour flight - all in Economy Class! Happy flying and thanks for stopping by!
Fun report my friend. I enjoyed the electro style music at the start, but then we all know that i'm into Dance Music. I do love Bangkok airways, I hope they stick around as its really enjoyable to fly with them on short routes. The meal, although small, looked excellent and really adds to the value of what they offer. Loved this one. Though You won't catch me on a prop. :)
Cheers, dude! You can experience the props through my videos hahaha. I am slowly running out of music on Epidemic Sound....I might have to start re-using the same songs. The meal was great for such a short flight. I also loved how they presented the sticky rice in the banana leaf....rather than just having a blob of rice on the plate. I think it was a cold meal because they don't have ovens on the ATR. On the outbound flight to Phnom Penh we had a hot meal. I still reminisce though about the days where Bangkok Airways was purely used by Western tourists and inflight meals consited of hamburgers and spagbol. Good times.
@@SOPLANETUBE Yes I will continue to enjoy props from your videos only :) Yes I was one of those western tourist's back in the day lol, and when I did 6 months in Asia back in 2014, things had changed a lot and I no longer had to take 10 hour bus rides between cities and could fly for super back, compared to my first time. I know that Sanspotter has a pretty good music system he uses and he says its cheap, though I can't remember what it is.
Oh his videos are ace.....and he has an awesome taste in trainers LOL. Might check in with him to see what he uses for music....good idea! Yeah a lot has changed...back in the days there were 3 flights a week to where my parents have their house up North, now there are 5 or 6 flights a day!
Hehe....they have been around for a loooong time! They are an amazing airline and always win awards - I think they were voted best regional airline last year. As always, thanks for watching and you support!

Getting a delicious meal on a one hour flight? 🙄 This flight looked truly enjoyable and the fact that it was operated by an ATR makes it fantastic to watch as well
We would get along well! Haha. Props are so much fun. And yes, the food was delicious and the crew were tip top in running a full meal drinks and tea/ coffee service on this short flight. Have you been in Bangkok Air?

Good morning! Hahahaha.....I always find it funny that people queue for check in with Bangkok Airways. To be fair the signage is always quite bad . Can't complain though as it means that I always manage to cut the queue. LOL
Great video! Beautifully edited, especially the planespotting part with the planes appearing in between the foliage! Simply stunning! Bangkok Airways is so good. Miss flying them. The food looked very decent for this short flight. Imagine, watching this video 3 and a bit times is the length of the flight, yet they managed a full service. A bit disappointed with your Birks. Thought you would have chosen one of their funkier patterned ones 😉🤣🤣
Wait, there are funky patterened Birkies???? hahahaha....It was such a lovely flight and the weather really made the shots of the planes on the apron pop. The food was great - and they could have just put a blob of rice on a plate but no, they wrapped it in banana leaf to make it look more appealing. Such a nice touch!
