A surfers paradise in Morocco.? I would never have imagined until viewing your super cool video. Thinking outside the box on your travel paid off big time here. NICE!
Those beaches are gorgeous! When I think of Morocco, I don't think about beach towns right away. Pretty cool surf town. I liked the design of that house too. Nice job Gabriel.
about 15 years ago I spent about 2-3 month only in Taghauzouut. Was a amazing time, I met people from all over the world. one time I lived hotel for 5 euro which costs now about 40, then, the next two weeks I stayed in a empty build hose for free. Didnt go much surfing but still was great, the environment as well, take a walk in the backlands. Don´t know how it is now but I will find it out soon.
Yeah, it feels more like California than Morocco. But just goes to show that countries are multi-faceted, they aren't all the same thing but can have very different places and cultures within them.
the sign on the doors means hamazigh .it is the symbol of berber culture or berber land and it also means" free man".Thank you for your visit in Marocco😊
Loved Taghazout town it gave me good vibes.I am glad to hear that you are going to Canary Islands, you will enjoy them and also there will be pretty warm !. Happy trails and happy new year, Gabriel !
I can't even believe my eyes...I lived in Taghazout for a short while 40 years ago. At that time it was just a tiny Berber village of about 50 simple adobe huts, no electricity, running water, or cars - not one.
Gabriel Traveler Yes i do! but i didn't surf in Morocco because i broke my leg just before the trip so i just focused on filming... You can check my short video from the trip if you are interested:) Definitely going there again!
It's beautiful there, your camera is so clear and sharp. Whenever I watch your videos I feel like I'm travelling with you 😀 looking forward to your travels around the Canary Islands.
Thanks indeed for let me know about this place.. I have never been here before and it looks really worth to visit. I will do it in next year in Spring or Summer. Once again, thank you..
Surfed there in the late 70s early 80s.Stayed with a French surfer named Speedo,he had a great small place on the point. It was nothing like it is now. Also stayed at a place called Chez Chebini. One time was camping out at La Source, walked to Taghazout square to get some food, watched the town beat a guy to death, throw him in a truck.Pretty scary. Also thieves would slice your tent and steal stuff while sleeping in the tent!It was raw AF back then, cops were ruff too.
Hey man. I watch some of your videos and i have 2 question. First, what kind of camera do you use. Secondly, let say if you travel to another country that you havent been yet, how do you explore mean say you know where to go.. asking some locals or something? Regards!!
Unfortunately looks like I won't be making it up there this trip. It was too cold in the other parts of Morocco now, even though I really wanted to see Fez, Chefchaoen and Tangier. I'm flying to the Canary islands in a week. Will have to come back to Morocco another time to see more.

I can't remember where I got that shirt but no, it isn't from Morocco. I've had it for a year or two. Bought it somewhere around the world but can't even recall which country!

Good question, hard to say exactly! When I find that place I might stay there. Thailand is somewhere I could imagine living, or Greece, Mexico, Canada, the U.S., maybe India but it gets pretty intense after a few months.
Gorgeous! Finally, sun & warmth! Looks like a good place to hang for a few days. Let me know if you want my friend on Gran Canaria, Lila's, contact info. She would know of good places to go and she's as lovely a person as you could imagine!

Yeah I'm not sure how much I'll like the Canaries but I think it will be fun for a little while at least. Partly I'm going there just because there was a cheap flight and it was actually cheaper to fly there than to other places from Morocco, and then there are super cheap flights back to Europe. So it's a practical stop since it's so close and looks beautiful. I'll definitely make the most of it, whatever I find there. I did find hostels online though that are pretty cheap, so that's good.
Hey Gabriel, I like your way of travelling, but doin´t you relize that your money comes from stupied advertisement presented to your viewers. Do you think that makes the world a better place or just easy living for yourself and even make you a more greedy and luxury loving person. Beside that, do you think about your carbon footprint, which will even get bigger from your followers, when they go on a similar trip. And last not least isn´t it a shame that travellers get the benefits from hard working people in "third world" countries, because the money exchange rate is a bitter sweet story, which allows us easy going? This Taghazout video could be much better, because of your speedy trip to this you can never see more details of reality.
