I decided to take the blue lighting out at the engines and replace it with soft white. The blue light was bleeding to some of the window ports at the rear. It just tinted the clear lens blue with a small section of red in the small engine port. Gives the same effect and better with the red effect on the small port. Saved building a tight fitting bulkhead to block that blue light leaking to the front.
Thanks Marc. I think the kit looks good too. Most casual BSG fans will recognize it as the Galactica. This is a fun one for now and hopefully Moebius will soon announce a TOS BSG in an improved form. I'd like to see the new kit at about the same size as this one though, whatever scale that might be.
I like to say you do great work. I've want a Galactica since it first came out but never got one.I know this one is going to be great when your done with it.
This is looking really good! This kit may not be accurate, but it still looks good in my opinion. It's kind of like the old AMT Enterprise; while not perfect it has a certain charm and appeal to it.
That looks great lit up! Wish i could get those LED Wedges in Warm, but only Cool White is available from my research. It'd be nice to have this in closer to two full feet for some oomph. Smaller would suck. I don't follow Moebius, so don't know their intentions -if they've made them public.
Might be useful to you, in Europe the Moebius re-imagined models have been licensed to Revell Germany - and all cost £20 each - including Galactica itself.
Hi, I'm about to start my own build of this kit and I'd like to light it, I can't find the lighting video you mentioned is it in the Trek Works channel?
