It’s so lovely to have such beautiful nature so close to a major city that way. I had no idea that Québec was next to mountains-now I know. It’s such a gentle winding slope down into the city. Truly beautiful. 👍
Thank you very much Drew! That's something I've always loved so much about Québec City : On one hand, you have the oldest city in canada, with a dense European-esque city center with cobblestone streets...and on the other hand, only 20min to the north, a completely wild mountaineous area with endless forests. What a perfect mix! As for the view down the city at the end of the video, I can attest that it's really magical especially in person! Thanks for watching :)
Ça fait plaisir! En effet, ils ont réalisé un super beau projet avec cette route! Elle est pas mal plus sécuritaire qu'avant en tout cas. Merci d'avoir regardé.
@@FreewayAndrewCAN Well...I was curious to know about where A73 starts because I was unsure. I've find out that the more reliable source is of course the Québec ministry of transportation and they say that it actually starts at exit 167...so, Google is actually wrong when they show the A73' shield reaching the exit 182! I've also learned that Route 175 is following the same route as A73 towards downtown. I previously thought that it was taking former Boulevard Talbot and flying over the A73 via that arch bridge at 5:30 but no! It's owned by a municipality (apparently!) I've learned alot during this video lol
Autoroute 73 looks like a great scenic highway, no matter which direction you go. Plans for A73 to expand southward to Jackman, Maine are moving along very well. By about 2030, A73 will finally connect with US201 in Maine. This will boost the economy in both Quebec and Maine combined!! The plans to expand A73 to Maine were released in 2020, mentioning the long awaited need for A73 to extend to Maine.
@@FreewayFranks very spectacular coming down the gorge into Québec City! Reminds me of when I lived in Sydney, Australia, many roads would go from forest to city landscapes fast!
You're right and from a roadgeek perspective, it is also rather compact, so, it doesn't take hours to drive all of its freeways! The landscapes are also great along the way. Thanks for watching.

De magnifiques prises de vues ! Merci !
Merci à toi!
Wow merci! La dernière fois que je suis passée là, c'était pas encore une autoroute. Ça a vraiment changé!

Another awesome video!
Thank you very much!
@@FreewayFranks also does the A-73 designation end at KM 167 now? I noticed that there are no A-73 trailblazers between KM 167 and 182.

Great news! Thanks!
The Route 175 is also my favorite route of Quebec. Thanks for sharing.
I agree with you! What a scenic road 👌
@@FreewayFranks I have an road idea that you can make, the A-73 in Quebec city when the works will be over

Nice Video!
Thank You!
Are they ever going to punch A-73 up to link with A-70 in Saguneay?
I dont think so because to get to A70, it is going thru a national park and the AADT is very low
Ah le bvl talbot !
Le bon vieux Boul. Talbot! Il a beaucoup été amélioré!
