Great info as always. BUT it would be helpful if you had some pictures in the background when you are talking about a specific item. I imagine you have stock photos from your own business???
Does the infinity edge pool argument (especially chemical use) also apply to a gutter/overflow (vs skimmer) pool? An olympic sized gutter pool is what we had in our neighborhood, and it always seemed more effective at skimming off the top. It also made hopping out easier. When we'd first get there for swim practice in the morning, hardly any water was running over the gutter, but I don't know the chemistry of oxygenating the water.
This video could be titled “How to foolishly waste money on regrettable pool construction upgrades”. How about one “Most bang for the buck construction upgrades”? Or “Best retrofit upgrade”. “Best money saving add-ons”. “Top 5 most important yearly maintenance tasks”. You have an amazing wealth of knowledge and would love he hear your opinions on those topics
They are very cool but the prospects of having a broken pipe down there would be bad...plus you still need to brush and vac the pool or pay for cleaning service.
Interesting! You just made me glad that I have a separate hot tub (Cal Spas). BTW, I just hired you as a consultant for my pool equipment revamp. Check your emails. Thanks for the great content and available consultation!
I am glad I don't install pool and just service them. Have a few with vanishing edge. Would be interesting to do a list of biggest regrets. My experience the most expensive upgrades are also the biggest regrets.
@@Swimmingpoolsteve I always ask my customer how often they use water features. Usually never. Dedicated Pumps unuslaly have algae in them when I winterize. Also doesn't help when the valve to use the feature is 150ft from the pool. 😏

The falling water from an infinity edge is more problematic than a gutter drain where the water is not really falling.

I have just under 1000 videos so there are plenty of good questions to be found similar to examples you gave.
Before I had a pool I always wanted those in floor cleaners, now that I have one without the floor cleaners I’m glad I don’t.

I am sure most of the people who chose inifinity edge pools regret it. so much money to buy and to run.

One thing I know 100 percent sure. I would not be getting any of these upgrades. :(
