Kate the noise you hear is the mating call of frogs as the crickets mate late summer and here in Michigan when the frogs start making all the noise means the smelt are running up the rivers and streams to spawn so it's time to go out at do some smelt dipping. Enjoy the nice weather and get out before the river gets higher.
@@KatyDidRocks sorry to be a downer. Usually keep my chin up. You are awesome and I so enjoy your videos. Thank you, wish I could go rock hunting with you, but in there in spirit.
thank you for sharing, KatyDid 🌹🐰
:) Thanks, Brian.
@@KatyDidRocks you're welcome 🌹🐰

YAY ROCKS!!!!!
Yay indeed. :)
beautiful day and the nature song sounds healthy !
It was, and it did! Sometimes I think I should just walk around and film nature and its sounds.
Those are what we call "spring peepers" tiny tree frogs 🐸. So very loud! Love nature sounds!
Thanks for the beautiful day trip. ❤️
Thanks for joining me!
I love all of these excursions to the river! So much fun seeing the treasures you find.
So glad you came along.

Thanks, Robert! I was wondering if it was cicadas, although I thought at first it was frogs.
I’m home sick, but enjoying your channel as I get better. Thanks, Kate!
Oh, Robin, I hope it's nothing serious! More video today at 5 Mountain time...
Thanks for the video! Have you ever tried sticky lint rollers to remove the ticks from your clothing? I keep one by my car seat. Just roll them off!
That's brilliant!
I never have - but I think it's a great idea!
I love how your video descriptions are written in the third person BTW.
:'D I didn't even really realize it. Just channeling Netflix, I guess.
Even the not so nice rocks come home with me. Sort through them again, and then into the rock garden!
Thanks for your video. Cheered me up as I was a little down today. I always look forward to your posts
I'm sorry you were feeling down. I think we all are trying to hold our heads up right now. I'm glad the video helped. :)

Never be sorry to feel what you feel. This is a rough time for everybody, and as I read recently, "it's ok to not be ok" right now. Love from Montana!
Awesome! Love the walk...I sooooooo would have filled my pack..that second conglomerate was very nice! Health and blessings!
Thank you, Jeanne - watch the second one and you'll see why the pack was full. :)
Just found yr channel. Sis lives in Livingston, me in Miami, FL. Love the rockhounding. Enjoyed the details, TY.
Thanks for visiting! Livingston is lovely - a bit windy, though. 😊
Lol! I always end up with more rocks than I planned to get too....I don't know how that happens either ;-)
It's a mystery - I think they procreate in my backpack.
@@KatyDidRocks Bwahahahaha!!!!
@11:28. Is this the start of a Montana moss agate?
O.o I DO BELIEVE you're RIGHT!
Awesome.. you should pick random ugly rocks and slice them
That's actually an awesome idea.... thanks, Rebecca!
You all stole Oregon's ticks! (famous last words?)
I'll send you some.
