Haji sahib’s true nature reflects upon the way he does business as well, kind and honest. The way he stopped the young girl from buying the fabric that might’ve exacerbated her skin allergies. Nowadays, sellers would gladly give out poison if it meant making profit.
Since a lot of comments wondering about Shamin and Ilyas, so here is just bit of explanation. In short answer, yes, Ilyas has feelings for Shamim and that too since he was young. His affections for Shamim as a child turned into strong feelings. A lost, abused, not so studious child handed over to Shamim who was the first person to shower him with affection when she creased his cheek where he was slapped by his own father. That small gesture was enough to let Shamim in his heart and that's why he let Shamim tutor him. But moments later when he sees Shamim's affections and attention turn towards Haji Mushtaq, instantly, that man becomes this child's (Ilyas) enemy. Since then, he fought for Shamim's attention more especially when Mushtaq is there (reciting time table loudly and Shamim scolding him but he continues). That's why when opportunity struck, Ilyas took his revenge (his role in humiliating Mushtaq and exposure of his marriage), he did it because his inner child could never win Shamim's attention and affections when Mushtaq was there. He points out correctly, these 2 are stuck in one-sided hurtful triangle. Mushtaq never looked at Shamim the way she wanted nor Shamim looked at Ilyas the way he wanted. Shamim's reaction shows she might have had inclination of ilyas feelings but she thought ignorance was a bliss but now he confessed his feelings as he is desperately seeking for her forgiveness as he realises in order to get his revenge he ended up hurting the person he loves the most. This is so Interesting. I would say this track along with main track will be the most exciting one.
props to the director for showing a realistic approach of the struggle and hardships faced when starting a new business unlike other dramas where there is instant success on first day!
The way haji sahib was blushing while posing for a pic was just incredible..I loved the chemistry between barberna ..this is called respect and love... that behnoi ji who harassing his wife for house is breathtaking ..his evil is so active ..loved it ..this writer has nailed it haji and barberna goes away before her ex husband comes back ...

Oh my God What the hell this story is? I've read hundreds of books and stories, and this story feels like an international best seller novel I don't know what to write BUT THIS IS THE BEST PAKISTANI DRAMA EVER, And I've not just LOVE for the team but HUGE RESPECT, especially for the WRITER.
Wonderful episode, but kabli pulao scene was a ;little bit weak (No bhabka after removing lid and the cloth used for dumm was also small compared to lid). The scene between Shamim and Ilyas was so emotional and the dialogues of Ilyas were also mesmerizing (Apne mere sooje hoy gaal pr hath rkha tou saara dard khatam ho gya tha...Jaise hi woh aata tha mein zor zor se pahaare parhne lgg jata tha). These dialogues of Ilyas highlights a child's emotions and the way of expressing these emotions which is real but generally we ignore the subtle actions of children. The best thing about Kabli Pulao is close to reality and its grey characters. Haji sahab isn't a firm believer. When he said, "Khairat krne se dukaan ki izzat kam ho jati hai"; it was obvious that from now on his selling will decrease day by day. There is a nuance message in this whole scene that Respect and, Bread and Butter is from Allah, and by donation it would never decrease.
The perfect example of Mian Bivi husband & wife Ehteshamuddin and Sabeena Farooq is the perfect example to the hole world . You are incredible haji sahab apki Zindagi ham sab ke liye 1 sabaq hai bas der sirf Amal krne ki hai !!!
