I have spent the last week watching these amazing people take either an abandoned building or a complete ruin and renovated it with some of the most amazing work I have seen or they simply built their own homes. Western culture has lost its way and it as been made glaringly obvious how the younger generations in particular are lacking. I was taught how to cook clean sew knit crochet bake and there is a difference between cooking meals and doing pastry and cake baking. The old ways are dying out because the generations that came after me have to have everything now so they live in a disposable society even people are disposable. I love the fact that this young couple have made their own paradise. The dog I have to say I thought I was seeing things, but its just a circle of life. Sir you have done a marvellous job well done, You had your goal and you made it happen.

It's in their culture to be resourceful. I would like to see how the farmers store their harvests. I know herbs are dried. By trying the seems together and hanging the bunches upside-down on the attic rafters. Apples are in a barrel. And canning vegetables. Yet, there are more to know about.

My one complain is we watch these ppl working tirelessly, it seems, and when we get to see their final work, there’s 3 adds for what to watch next covering most of the screen! It’s very annoying to do that to ppl’s hard jobs they’ve done and created and shared with the world. Please put it on the Thank You screen only. Give them ALL their credit!!

Please don’t construe my remarks as anti anyone. I’ve traveled to 32 countries, some for as long as a year each. Everywhere I’ve gone I’m left with 3 takeays 1. I know why people live there. Always lovely scenery, people welcoming 2. Everywhere people are doing the best they can-building, cooking, caring for children and oldsters. 3. Wherever there are women and children not living in destitution, poverty, cleanliness is one major goal. Wherever imperialism has robbed the population of sources of wealth, poverty, lack of water and people sink into unhealthy states. This video reminded me of people I saw hand digging wells in African countries. No time for ponds but subsistence hadn’t sucked the joy out of life.
U started on the project looking as a boy. When u were done u were definatly a man ! I have such a huge respect of what u are capable of doing. Would love seeing what u did inside the house. I enjoyed every minute of ur video.
