@@richasingh3087 I don't know the exact answer but my friend is in IIT madras and he is like that, he says that it is due to selective retention, he rarely tries to remember the unnecessary details and focusses more on the core topics and basics, needless to say that his basics are very strong and he rarely makes mistakes when you give him conceptual questions but sometimes he gets confused in basic definitions.

I don't care about the gender issues surrounding this movie all I want to say is people like Kabir Singh are really annoying to befriend regardless of their gender. No matter how much effort you put on them, they will still keep crying for their ex and sometimes even put their self-esteem at stake in order to get back to their ex, they don't even care about how much their family loves them all they will believe is how unloved they are and not to mention they will always have some serious health condition and are about to die in a few days.

At first i thought if i listened to her and all she would get out of this i told her that in reality she would need a job to survive and to experience real freedom...once she gets her self esteem and confidence up she would have confidence to make better, logical decisions for the betterment of life...but she months after was drowning in the victim mindset , all she had to do was just turn the switch off..she had a lovely and caring family

Answer : The similarities are both had an impatience, obduracy, drugs, alcohol, cigarette smoking - not one but two at one go - over-possessiveness, insecurity, violence and self-destruction of the film’s central character typifies the desperation of men who want to hold on to their patriarchal privileges. Remember when DevDas physically hurts Paro and even sometimes emotionally. Both the characters in both the movie's are spoiled I don't know maybe being a male. Both Paro and Preeti marrying without their will and many more.
Differences : 1) In Kabir Singh at last the so called hero gets the heroin (at least in DevDas I won't say everyone but majority seing the movie might not copy the attitude of drinking like DevDas as in the end consequences was known DEATH), here the message goes with chahe jitni badtamizi kar lo beta ladki to akhir mai tum hi paoge.
2). At least Paro had self-respect and had some respect for her parents commitment viz she was hurt when her mother was insulted not like Preeti were even when Kabir insulted her father she was continuously clarifying Kabir.
3). At last but not the least DevDas never cheated on Paro but Kabir did even though knowing that she married against her will.
The thing is I have listened from more than one people Kabir Singh is a very good movie I seriously don't talk about the actors portraying the characters, the idea of this character influencing a large majority of population in behaving in the same manner just disturbs me we have already witnessed bollywood movies idealizing mob characters and people following it obediently if you don't agree with me just open the daily newspaper and you will read about these influenced people actions.
