I don't know what it is about Moscow Moscow, but it hits just the right spot! I showed it to my friend who was not into kpop at the time and he loved it as well. I think I'm just a sucker for beautiful melodies in the chorus and general variety throughout the song!
I honestly wasn't sure how you would feel about Why but I'm so glad you had fun with it! It's definitely ONF's weirdest/most experimental title track. It definitely takes multiple listens to really ingest the song, there is an official instrumental on youtube if that sort of thing interests you!
Fun Fact, Moscow Moscow was the last song written for that album (Go Live). They filmed Why in various parts of Europe and Russia, and a song that was supposed to be on that album got moved to another album so the fellas at Monotree had to make a new song for the album and they pulled inspiration from that and whipped up one of the best kpop songs ever made (imo).
i did kind of worry about requesting moscow moscow and i hope no one is super weird about it. i can definitely understand if there are people who might be uncomfortable about it bc there have been songs i have found a bit uncomfortable to listen to after something adjacent but not exactly directly related happened?
but lyrically, it's just a song about having a strange (romantic?) encounter in a city, and the city happens to be moscow.
but yeah very glad you enjoyed it so much hehe, excited for next week's rtk 🤭

Listening with you to Moscow Moscow just now I got full body goosebumps. I listnend to this song so many times but it still does that to me. Have you reactet to ONF Incomplete? Thats one of my favoutite ONF songs. Also really getting into Victon lately they really have such outstanding vocalists. There really like their sound and both of the songs are on my playlist now.
BTW I love these kind of mixed reactions, so many different artists, older releases and Bsides....
I absolutely LOVE the emotion in Why - it's what makes that song one of the best onf songs in my opinion, especially in the bridge and the choruses. Very moving! (btw, electric violins exist and they're badass :D)
Moscow Moscow is a very good song - for me it's not so much russian sound, as it's a general eastern european/soviet sound, bc as a polish ukranian it REALLY reminds me of older polish and ukranian music. Straight up brings back memories of singing together with family around the porch ❤️

Btw, Yongguk is a producer, he is his own producer, and the producer for his previous group B.A.P and he also made songs for other group as well.

victon's vocals are so underappreciated smh. Their whole vocal line is AMAZING !! (seungsik is main vocal, seungwoo and sejun lead vocalist, chan and byungchan subvocal)
But it's not surprising that seungwoo was x1's main vocalist. The only reason he isn't main vocal in victon is because of seungsik aha

I'm a bit rusty on my music theory so bare with me 😅 rhythm is the pattern *within* a song's tempo e.g a drumbeat (double time, half time, 4/4) whereas the tempo is the speed of the song. an easy way to remember is that a metronome measures tempo - if the *rhythm* changes but you can count the same beat as before the change, the tempo is still the same.
it's a little hard to wrap your head around and I still get deceived by rhythm changes too!
