Out of all the gardener video makers I've seen in all the years watching, You are so far the best one..... Keep making them because I'll keep watching. You are a treasure trove of knowledge and a game changer for me..... Thanks so much buddy, I sure do appreciate you.
I am very happy to watch most of your time video clips. You have changed my life. As a farmer from one of the poorest country in Africa, I was struggling to buy chemical fertilizer for my garden. I have a big land with abandant water resources but could not get enough food even for my family.
Hello - New subscriber...I have always thought it crazy that people buy soil at Wal-Mart when we have everything we need out our back door. You are a breath of fresh air! Thank you ❤️
Well, depending where you live, our home soils are filled with all sorts of chemicals. Where I live, the community has dozens of different poison "Pest Control" companies that spray everyone's lawn with poison to "stop pests" and put herbicides in the grass. We also live on a golf course, so there are tons of poisons sprayed on that. Let alone all the weed killers with glyphosate in it. Even though we don't spray on our land, I do not trust my soil because my neighbors do spray, and I don't know how long the sprays last in the soil, since we aren't the original owners of this home(and my parents used to use one of those companies until they finally stopped after listening to me that they don't do anything to the yards and it just costs money). That being said, I plan on making my own soil, but it's a bit difficult, costly, and it can be annoying, especially when I have tons of compost and goodies outside, but I do not trust it.
Please take as little as possible. One teaspoon is all we need to cultivate these microbes! Absolutely love what you're doing! Love live the natural farmer!
Being from west central Illinois and having grown in central and South Florida and now growing in North central Arkansas, I can agree on first two states. Arkansas though, I have an issue with the incline on my backyard. All my soil wound was away during heavy rains. With that said, my only option at this time is raised beds. Raised beds with a clay soil will not work with the knowledge I have at this time. With that said, I have to create the soil in my raised beds. I will say this though. I have put some clay soil in the bottom of totes to shorten the depth of the totes a bit and drain holes above the clay line and had good results on my tomatoes and peppers.
"A complex and beautiful web... way beyond our ability to comprehend..." Indeed!! Really appreciate your recognition of Nature's Design, and what I believe as God's good good 🎁 gift to us🙌
I'm gaining a lot of wonderful knowledge from your videos and I sincerely thank you for that. The desire of knowing the soil, nature and the plants is growing in my heart. I started looking into this world because of chilli peppers. I started growing them when I was at home due to heart problems at the age of 24 when I was also left home from work because of it. God used that period to draw me closer to Himself and put "gardening" into my heart. I love how you admire and endorse the beauty and perfection of nature because you're giving glory to the One who made all things. Thank you kindly for the knowledge you shared with me and for your care toward the planet we live on. May God bless you and your family greatly. Love from Switzerland❤
I'm SO glad I found your channel. What you are teaching is exactly what I need to hear. I've always been a believer in Nature. I love nature, and I ALWAYS questioned the difficulty of gardening because,........I have always SAID....."Why is gardening so HARD? Why do we need to do all of this stuff to our plants in our gardens when things just thrive in nature without us doing a damn thing to them?" Why do we need to apply this fertilizer at this time, and then this fertilizer at that time, and then we need to spray stuff on them to keep bugs and stuff away etc, etc.....WHY? NONE of that happens in Nature! Thanks to you, it's all becoming VERY clear. And even.....DUH.......lol Thanks
Newby gardener here. Excellent post, you fully explained 3 important questions in two posts. Potash making and use, and microbial health with the use of the forrest tea. The 3rd is more an observation, it seems garden supply companies are selling the various elements in a separated form, then we try to put them all together. Nature has already done so and probably far more efficiently than the scientists, who have probably missed something. Thanks, my garden and I are wiser for your knowledge Subscribed :)

Just found you the other day and I am loving what you're preaching and teaching. It makes so much sense. I have a question. Can I still use the soil that I've been using that has been feed man-made fertilizer or should I discard it?
its possible to remediate it and get life back into it if need be yes... ideally though just set it aside and let the rain and nature purify it for a couple years and use fresh organic soil instead
Nate you are amazing! The more I watch of you I realize you’re my male clone! I agree with everything you discuss as it makes so much sense! Thank you for your expertise. I bought the 24 hour timer as you suggested and wondered if I should set the timer for 8 AM to midnight or 6 AM to 10 PM? Am I trying to simulate hours that the sun is normally up so the plants when transplanted will be better acclimated or am I trying to give them the most light hours possible? Love your channels and philosophies!!
thank you for the positive energy my friend!... yes its best to do 6am to 10pm as that is closest to what they'll experience outdoors... plants are like us in that they need to rest as well so be sure to give them a good 8 hours rest (dark)
I started a small leaf mold composter just before winter. I did it on only hearing a little bit about it. Glad I made it now. I am thinking I should add a thin layer of compost under the leaves to get er goin, but its just because the ground was hard soil where i put it. I never thought of scoring the surface or anything, I just had a top half of a broken plastic composter that i used, and a lid that works perfectly. I added leaves watered it and sprayed it with molasses water. I have some warm days right now in Canada and am adding leaves i had saved from last year to make it better and create more. Heres hoping it works. I know not to flip it very often if at all, to keepbit from heating up.

How often should i be using this on my seedlings? Do i need to rotate in plain water for waterings? Or can i just use this each time its dry ir is that too much? Sorry im super new 😅
I love this so much!!
I love your videos
Can you make a "mixed" batch with the wild grass, chicken manure, wild fish, etc. all in one bucket for a master liquid fertilizer!?
Hi I'm new to your site you explain things so well great video thank you
can you use vermicast instead of compost?
Just found you the other day and I am loving what you're preaching and teaching. It makes so much sense. I have a question. Can I still use the soil that I've been using that has been feed man-made fertilizer or should I discard it?
its possible to remediate it and get life back into it if need be yes... ideally though just set it aside and let the rain and nature purify it for a couple years and use fresh organic soil instead
Thanks for the info. I will be doing this, this summer.
Very informative video; thanks!
thank you always for your kind support Elena my friend
Thanks great stuff brother!
Buenas tardes desde España. Podría añadirse en vez de compos, un puñado de humus de lombriz. Estoy aprendiendo mucho contigo. Gracias.
@@gardenlikeaviking thank you so much for your quick response. You’re the best!
I know not to flip it very often if at all, to keepbit from heating up.
you're on the right track my friend!
If only more people would think like you do
Thank you.
