The most important addition to your autumn decor should be changing out your light bulbs to full spectrum bulbs so your still getting the health benefits of the light same as summer. Grey days cause SAD (seasonal affective disorder). I'd recommend you and Conner together researching what's best for your home and your family. In my home living room next to my couch I have a lamp 6000 luminum bulb that if I sit next to it for 10 mins I feel energy like I've spent a entire day out in the summer sun. I'm middle aged and spend mire time indoors in the winters but my body doesn't suffer all the grey day depression because of my lighting choice. Do it!

So glad you talked about the pressure when you have children to make things fun and exciting/make new traditions. I LOVE planning things for my babies but I get so caught up sometimes that the thought of the thing is better than the actual thing because I stress so much about it being 'fun' for the family when in reality they'd be just as happy (if not happier) to put on some wellies and kick about in the rain as they would be to go to some expensive, extravagant event. Trying really hard to put less pressure on 'forced fun' and just create sweet, meaningful traditions!
