Johnny sucks at singing/screaming the heck? I love Johnny he's just not a good vocalist lots of people aren't. and ur not writing that well. And M. Shadows he doesn't edit his vocals(except to make a cool effect once in a while) He uses his own voice and he sounds amazing live and in the studio one of the best most powerful voices in music period.
Why would someone one take it when you can just do it part by part? This way if you mess up you can just redo the one part. Its not like it sounds better with one takes, its just taking advantage of technology.
You Obviously have no clue how a studio works with multi-track stereo recording it goes back before the 80's they do two vocal tracks to make it sound full. that's one of a few tricks done by the studio that's the difference between a professional studio and you're typical garage band recordings.
