This review is spot on. I just got this microphone a few days ago. Everything this Reviewer says about it is correct and true including the strange sound it makes. I almost returned it for that reason alone. But then something magical happened when I paired it with a very old iPad. The sound is so great I'm keeping this mic now to rehearse with at home:)

You're so funny and adorable! I just just picked this up for my 7yo daughter for Christmas from Walmart (I'm in Canada) for $19... not bad. I've been "testing it out" for the last hour lol. I agree the constant "on sound" is a bit annoying, but at least you can't hear it when you're singing!
LENORE BRADFORD don’t be afraid to break it. Grab the rubber and pull. Kinda wiggle it. The initial pull is the hardest. Once you have it your good with the push and pull.

Bought mine today at Staples for $7! I got the phone holder open, it just took me awhile.

mine just buzzes when i turn it on, like it works but it plays a really loud note for no reason

Just pull that rubber out. This kind of rubber usually means something hidden beneath.

Tried my hardest, found out that my microphone was a defect. :(
