My micans is doing great and is very easy. I have it now about two and a half years. I bought it online when it was a small plant and it wasn't doing great for almost a year. I have it a few meters from a south facing window and it tolerates the fall, winter and early spring sun fine for a few hours. I love the beautiful sort of bronze colour against the light. A few months ago I made from copper wire a spiral in a bow vorm and I put the vines over it. The plant loves it. It likes a aroid mix and I let it almost dry up before I water it through again. No wet feet of course. I hope you love the micans too. Greetings from the Netherlands!
Good job on the El Choco! I've had one for nearly a year, and it's so tiny with one leaf 😮😢 I just recently moved into a soil mix and have it in medium light. I'm hoping for a miracle😂
I love easy growing Philodendron Micans. Keep moist and is low light. Sized up very well on a moss pole. Bright light will kill this plant. Mind is in a pot with El Choco Red, Verrucosums, Camposportoanums in a self watering pot with a moss pole. . Two inches of pon on the bottom of pot and soilless Aroid Mix. A gorgeous pot of Velvet Leaves. El Choco bloom this summer. 👍🏾Video. 🪴Happy Planting🌿
Hi there! About the light, I think it depends on where you live. I'm from the Netherlands and my micans thrives in bright light, a few meters from a south facing window and in the fall, winter and early spring it gets on a sunny day direct sunlight for a few hours. The plant loves it. The leaves are perfect.
Gorgeous collection as always💚
Thank you! 😊🪴
The micans is one of my favorites, so I have all over my house and outside gardens. Best showstopper is on a pole climbing in my terrace😍
😆 wow! Sounds like it’s growing really well for you. I can’t wait for a full beautiful plant. 🪴
Love your philodendrons! I rolled at how you said micholitziana!!🤣🤣I can't say that word for nothing!!
Thank you!
😂 glad I’m not alone. Maybe one day we’ll get it right 😅

Thanks. Hope it grows well for you. 🫶🏽🪴
The micans is really thirsty and does not like a ton of light.
Thank you so much for the tip! I’ll keep that in mind. 😆🪴
Gorgeous collection!! ❤ The selloum is my one of my favorite plants but everytime I buy one, the leaves lose their green color and turn pale yellow😟
Hmm. Leaves can sometimes turn pale yellow when they get too much light (bleaching). You can try to see if reducing light exposure helps.
@luciansteph will try again...I have north facing windows so maybe the grow lights were too much...thanks for the suggestion!
So Nice Video ❤❤
Thank you 😊
