Usually the stem cells will be from cord blood (as in yung blood na galing sa umbilical cord and placenta after maipanganak ang isang baby). Marami din po ibang sources ng stem cells, like bone marrow. Bale sobrang rich in stem cells po yang cord blood and when injected into someone with a condition like Rocket's, maaari po nitong ma replenish/replace yung mga hindi gaanong aktibong neurones na siyang kailangan para mag send ng signals from her brain to the rest of her body, and vice versa. Pwede rin po nito ma improve yung connections in her brain para mas maging maayos ang kanyang speech, ability to learn, response to stimuli, etc. Nakakatulong din po ito icontrol and inflammation which is another symptom sa mga patients with ASD. Like you and all other parents, we would do anything for our kids even if the chances for total cure is small. Any small improvement is still an improvement so we can have peace of mind knowing that our kids will survive on their own even after we pass. So thank you for not gatekeeping this. I hope she will get through without any trauma. I can only pray that this is the best process for her without any adverse effect in the future. I have always been told by our doctor that in any medical process, anaesthesia is the least liked and shouldnt be unless necessary. Good luck and God bless.

Having disability relatives is a lifetime commitment. Therapy can do a lot . And continues loving and understanding of family can help better and our society too. Parents should accept them for who they are created and be there at their side until grown old. That's the journey of a disability children to be with them until end. Do a lot of Prayers and teach the child how to speak everyday (2hours every morning)do abcd, play together as learning for different colors and shapes, study writings and reading as many as possible one by one and miracle can happen Its not easy to take care people with disabilities but that's the journey we had here on earth we cannot choose life as we wanted it to be

My son got stemcells in panama when he is 6years old. And we did 3 session its very expensive but its all worth it. Its the best thing i ever did to my son with autism. He is 13 now and he is very different child. Bare even notice that he had autism.

This stem therapy is still experimental, not yet proven effective. But If you are a risk taker, go for it but I don't recommend this process as it involve chemicals/toxins that goes into your child system esp at a very young age and kid's immunity system is too fragile.There might be complications in the future. Behavioral therapies is a lot safer. It's a slow process but with good result in the long run.
That's right. I agree. Our nephew is diagnosed also with ASD but, he is undergoing Behavioral therapy. Yes, it's quite slow but we saw the improvements to him. For those who is experiencing the same situation (ASD), it takes love and patience to overcome and completely recovered from it.
I admire troy and miles since they are very proactive parents, finding solution to their kid's condition (if not) at least improving quality of life. Stem cell is not a new technology, this is well known in european countries. I hope all goes well and may this procedure benefit rocket.

I really hope this stemcell therapy from EW works, para hindi na kailangang pumunta ng Panama or Germany para gawin to, marami akong nakitang mga patunay sa mga stemcell therphy groups sa FB na successful at nawala ung diagnosis ng bata. Pero gaya ng madaming treatment hindi ito onesize fits all.
I think the problem is there really not much evidence na ung stem cell nga ung reason, possible na dahil nagtherapy kaya nagimprove ung bata. Sabi nga correlation does not imply causation

I had a student who went to Villa Medica. He has autism too. He used to go to Villa Medica Germany just for the Stemcell therapy. I learned that the owner is from Thailand, but they open VillaMedica in Germany, because animal cruelty law is not as strict compared to the United States. The stem cell treatment came from the fetus of a mother sheep, freshly injected to the patient.
@mavicmj16 To be honest, we couldn't tell his improvement with the stemcell therapy treatment because prior to his stemcell treatment, we were already doing ABA therapy program since he was 5 years old. I don't know how much exactly they paid when they went to Germany.

The stem cells are taken from the placental cord during childbirth. not from the blood in menstruation.

I saw in one article here in canada coost about $5000 to $8000 per stem cell so maybe little cheaper or same in Philippines maybe lang
