Beagles are ALWAYS vocal about everything! And they are natural performers, so they tend to be just a bit dramatic! I remember when my little beagle did the reverse sneezing for the first time and I had no idea what the hell that was and I got panicky! Beagles are just the best buddies in the world and Oliver is a Superstar! Happy holidays to all of you. You guys make me feel happy!!!

My vet told it was the sign of a certain kind of heart disease and now our beagle is on medication, I hope your case is different! She said that when it happens every once in a while could be because of something like dirt goes into nostrils, but Spike used to do it quite often 😐

I am so overwhelmed that you were able to capture all of those sounds. My beagle produced all the same sounds. The first time my beagle reversed sneezed my family was ready to call 911 not for my beagle but for me because drama over took me and I was loosing my mind thinking it was far worse than reverse sneezing, so watching Oliver I was having some PTSD. I am so happy you included it so others know it’s normal. Thanks for sharing this is amazing.
My Beagle Lucy used to have "reverse sneezing" fits and little did I know it was putting pressure on her ears! She actually went deaf as she got older. I had her for 14 years! Best dog ever! I still miss her!
Weird demonic growl in the middle of the night when your beagle is sleeping next to you is a real "thrill"-- he/she goes back to peacefully sleeping while you're left wide eyed awake.
For about six months he did that nearly every single day after we got home from our walks, and always on that exact same step. I'm not sure why! I sort of miss it--he hasn't done it in a while. Maybe he was releasing pent-up energy?

I woke up at 4am and saw this video. My beagle came running in and was intrigued by Oliver's sounds. Boomer and I didn't know the snow snuffling sounds as we live in the south and don't get much snow.
Love how although they are all so unique, beagles do have so many things in common! Ours have the reverse sneezing too and although it's not harmful it does always sound so bad for them. But my lord, the unnecessary scratching?! Our younger one always sleeps under blankets, when there is no blanket available she will scratch everywhere, as if there was a possibility to get into furniture as a blanket. Also I would add "snoring" in general. You know it's serious when your dogs appear in the snoring protocol of your sleep tracker...
Haha when he's rolling around howling on the staircase made me laugh so hard. My sister's Shih Tzu does that when she wants to steal one of our other dogs toys or treats.
