    LYRICS
So nice of you to come around and say goodbye
I don’t have to ask if you’re alright
By now I know you better
And you had a couple kids at 22
Paid your way through culinary school
    Anything but ordinary
    And I don’t mind
Being second place to your whole life
To love you is a one way dead end drive
But I don’t think about it really
And I still see you sometimes
    And it’s a fine
    Consolation prize
    It’s a fine
    Consolation prize
    Cut to
Your ex-husband showed up at your house
You hauled off and punched him in the mouth
And he got a restraining order
    Another round
You packed up and left another town
Before somebody else could let you down
I said I’d never do that to you
And you still call me sometimes
    And it’s a fine
    Consolation prize
    It’s a fine
    Consolation prize
    If you find
A kind of love that’s close to mine
    That’d be a fine
    Consolation prize
    And if I
Hear from a friend that you’re alright
    That’d be a fine
    Consolation prize

    Greetings from Glasgow, Scotland.
Stumbled across this song on Spotify.
So glad I did...excellent song with heartfelt lyrics....its on constant repeat.
And the acoustic version takes it to another level...just in my opinion.
Very good song my friend, very good.

I’ve been listening to this whole album on repeat for the last couple months and can’t stress enough how GOOD it is. I didn’t even have to listen all the way through before I bought the album on vinyl. Pulled me out of a several year long creative rut-I haven’t been this inspired by an artist in a long time. Thanks, Ken.

Ken: what a wonderful piece that simply tells the story of you caring deeply for some girl, even though it never worked out. I like how you captured her story so well, in a non-cryptic way.
Good you didn’t mind being second place to her whole life.

Really love this song in particular from Cerulean. Thoroughly enjoyed the new album as well as your previous music which I only very recently discovered. A very underrated artist, I’d love to find a tab for this song as well.

I would rather hear a bad voice than so much reverb that makes his hard to understand.

@@kenyates15I enjoyed your show a lot. You had much better music live than this reverb rich song. We all had a great time, thanks.

I’d rather hear a bad voice, too…do you have the link to your music? Thanks!

    • @healthy2202
      @healthy2202 2 года назад

@@jamesworshammusic8714 Hea, I probably deserved that. You have a good enough voice without the reverb. and even in your live show when you used it on 8 we had trouble hearing the lyrics that seemed like it was so important that your wrote a song. I would love to hear the words. I wanted this to be constructive criticism. Please don't be mad, everything else was top shelf.
