Really miss brookie I remember watching it from the age of 5 until I was 22 I remember some story lines really well like the body in the patio the abuse of Beth and trevor wife the rape of shelia the lesbian kiss the gas explosion above the shop. I remember some storylines better then others I used to love jimmy mick sheila Bobby was brilliant sinbad was fabulous I loved sinbad he was my all time fav with jimmy and lindsay as well some really good actors I loved sue who played shelia and the rape storyline that was really courageous and really interesting informative I remember my mum and nana sitting down to watch it with me I was about 5 at the time but I was too young to understand what it was about until many years later. The acting was great. The way everyone was back then the way they did the storylines it wouldnt get seen or have storylines like that today. I really miss brookside it was the best soap on telly at the time. I just really hope they bring it back they need to they had some of the best real life story lines ever made. Timmy and Emily great couple I loved the older generation of it as well as the newer younger couples it was a kind of soap that made you laugh cry on your edge of your seat and talked about it to neighbours family school friends work colleagues friends of friends. Very gripping very true life
Mandy is naive, I would of told Roy to f’off. He never had anything on her. She should have done what she done to Trevor on Roy. They bunked together in prison so they could have bunked once again under the patio, two scumbags together. Some people don’t deserve to be let out of prison.
I was 5 in 1986 and yes I was allowed to watch brookie but my mum or nana never mentioned what happened in the storyline about shelia rape I was far to young to know but as I got older I found out it made me realise that things crimes like this did happen to women and people I remember the massive gas explosion they had as well in 2000s. another one gripping informative it was a real shame it was pulled I cried when it did
Barry had respect for Jimmy despite everything. 2 brilliant characters.
I think everyone needs a “ sinbad” in their life 🎉
I hear that!
Good lad is sinbad
Love the D.I.Y.baptism.The Cult storyline is getting towards its peak.
The Close’s squatter population almost outnumbers the legal residents. There’s the Cult of Simon and now this Roy dude.
Rest in peace, our Tony.
Sinbad " did you give him a spade?" 😂😂😂😂
Barry Grant vs Simon was hilarious.
'We have had a few problems at ome...' SNIFF LOL
Mandy should have told Roy that Trevor had passed away after experiencing severe stomach convulsions, after eating one of Mick Johno’s dodgy pizzas.

Brookside was really good especially during this period what with the Lesbian storyline and also the religious cult storyline.
Yes,I would like to see Brookside back, the only trouble being the real residents of The Close kicking up a fuss about filming in their houses.
Had to laugh at Mandy holding a pair of gardening gloves to give up a decomposing corpse of a man 😂 also no plan of where to move him to 🤷♀️😂

This is when the religious cult storyline really took off.
