Maryland played an outstanding game. Truly a back-and-forth affair. Nothing but respect for the Terps who are going to make noise in the B1G all season and later on in the tourney.
This was one of my first womens games in person and I really enjoyed it. The intensity was just as good or if not better than the men's games. Terps came up short but I had a lot of fun
Yeah they did beat ucla twice last season with a worse roster but I wouldn’t be surprised if usc beat them this year usc is better all across the board especially defensively on the perimeter you have juju and Kennedy with Malia coming off the bench adding in k9 and ucla barely beat Indiana despite Indiana scoring 5 points in one of those quarters you’re not doing that with usc because of Kiki and juju
A good game; traveled from NYC. We enjoyed ourselves. Kayleigh Heckle, did her thing. Howell and Smith came up big too. Maryland had that game this was a gritty game played by both teams. 🍷

still lacks team dynamics two player rotation or matchup plots are not a game plan 😢 hero ball she’ll survive and go next level but the coach staff watches with deer in the headlights way too often😮
Big win for the Trojans. JuJu was inefficient and had 8 turnovers...the refs shut down their defense in the second half. They still toughed it out and pulled out a road win against a top ten team. They showed they are a TEAM and not just one dynamic player. JuJu was clearly frustrated with the officiating, but she played on and the Trojans earned a tough win.
Great game ladies! Juju you are to be reckoned with whenever you play the game. Keep up the good work! Good luck on your future endeavors in basketball!

If USC is to win a National Championship, Juju needs to distribute at key moments. Many times, she is tied up or turns it over during key positions. If she can master this, USC will be unstoppable.
At what point do female players no longer need to finish college to go pro like their male counterparts? I see no real reason Juju should be forced to play for USC for 4yrs
I had to turn off the sound while watching-the commentators absolutely ridiculous-trying so hard to make it something it's NOT-when did making a shot become amazing-a shot block become vicious especially defender's feet never left the floor-STOP IT !!!!!
The JuJu glazing from those two commentators was laughable. I had to laugh when JuJu took off from under her own basket, dribbled up court and launched an air ball three. One of them commented "JuJu just showed how great her handles are dribbling up court" No mention of the wide open air ball three. JuJu is a terrific player but the overkill commentating was non-stop.
She got tripled team this game. It’s hard to draw plays if your player is getting tripled team. The only thing the can scheme for is how to draw the defence and kick out
She takes too many tough shots that she doesn’t need to.. especially when she doesn’t make them.. hence the efficiency.. but she’s a shooter so she will continuously shoot .. which is also a good thing
USC has no shot blockers. It was too easy all night for Maryland to get to the basket. With no shot blockers, USC will struggle in conference especially when they have to play against bigger teams like UCLA. They got lucky tonight. They will have trouble down the road.

That’s why she came out more determined in the Penn St game after this when she had 5 steals. Her defensive mindset has to match her offensive mindset. It’s not there yet.
