  • What a wonderful day for flying! I find myself wanting to take more of these SAT-DFW departures because the Super 80 won't be around for long. Now is the time to go out and gather memories!

    love those md 80s it will be sad to seem them retire as they remind me of the older days of flying with the dc-9. great video! rob

    SAT is supposed to be one of the last cities to get the md-80!

      That's true! The MD-80 is likely to be used last on routes within Texas, and SAT suits its capacity perfectly.

      Well, the next time I fly an MD-80 will be part of a long trip from San Antonio to Barcelona, Spain. I won't have enough storage on my cameras for another MD-80 trip report, but I plan to make trip reports for the 757 and 777 (in both business class and economy).
