- Join me on a typical day in the life as a self-employed L.M.T (Licensed Massage Therapist). My day starts slow with some Yoga and meditation, then I head to work where I discuss how much money I make in an average day, week and year.

It definitely fluctuates it’s crazy! When I switched to online booking and required prepayment it helped with the no show situation!
I have considered online booking for several years but most of my clients are elderly and aren’t very “tech savvy”, and my personal schedule fluctuates so much with homeschooling my son- that I have always settled on it being easier to do it the old fashioned way with pen and paper! It’s great that it has helped you to lower the incidence of no shows and losing money! It’s definitely something I may still consider for newer clients. I do have a cancellation fee in place but I’m quite terrible at enforcing it!
@@AMothersNature I just switched over to online booking only a month ago and the amount of no shows and last minute cancellations has gone down to 0%. I used to have clients book appointments and they just wouldn't show up. Or they would message me the night before, morning of or hour of to cancel and it's very hard to get another client in with so little time.
I was a ER nurse and I am a making a change in my career I am starting school in September 2023 to become a massage therapist and I am really excited ❤thank you so much for you video !!

My work with Massage has been such a gift and it really is such a wonderful career, especially having children at home who you want to be flexible for and be able to spend time with! I feel like it is so important to practice some self care and self love, and just ground ourselves before spending a day in service to others! There is such a beautiful energy exchange that takes place between therapist and client, but it can sometimes be very draining if we aren’t filling our own cup as well!

I will absolutely do a video about my morning ritual. It does vary from day to day, to be honest. I have a 6yr old kiddo that I homeschool so it depends on whether or not I’m working, if we are going on a field trip or outing or if we have a day at home. But I’d love to share what each of those days would look like in the morning! Thanks for the suggestion ❤️
Thank you for the information! How did you find the building you’re working out of? I’ve been looking in my area but most of these places don’t take massage therapists.
Honestly I took it over from another therapist who was moving out of town and had been in the office for several years. It is a large building with many types of businesses in it. I am not sure what reasoning they have given you why you cannot have this type of business in their building- but perhaps look into salons or beauty shops that have a small room you can rent.

How long have you been practicing bodywork? I’m curious if the income is similar where you are? I am very grateful for this career and the ability to make enough money to help out my family but still work very few hours!
Omg, i heard your salary you have that much compared to my salary here.🙈🙈😁Mine here is monthly bases and you can get that amount within 2-3 days there.in your place.

It is definitely hard work and you deserve to make a fair wage for your services! It definitely does vary by market - there are some cities where people pay much less or much more per hour. I imagine it varies widely from country to country as well.

Suggest good collage for trainigs
Unfortunately this would be impossible for me to do- it all depends on your location and I am not at all "in the know" about which schools are good in different areas. I can only speak personally about the schools in my own area!
