The animatics really started full force with gigi so its fitting that gigi gets to make the final animatic that ends off epic officially completed with her well known 360 rotation shot

yes gigi is the best epic animator cant believe i did not realize the final animation was gigi but now i can tell it deff is just with more color
The bittersweet part in all of this is that Odysseus' eyes are still red. He's broken and changed for the worst, all to get back home.
That’s the beautiful thing about the broken. If they find the right people, they can be fixed. Maybe never in the way they were before, the cracks and scars will always show, but happiness can be found again.

The thing is that they are red because he died in get in the water. Whatever brought him back from that has permanently turned his eyes red. He's really not the same person
I love how Penelope is almost angry. She is showing her pain and her love and at same time.
It’s like she’s appalled by the idea that odysseus would ever think that she wouldn’t love him again when she spent the past 20 years of her life waiting for him to come back
"Hurt more people than I can count on my hands" strikes me as very unintentionally funny because it's such an understatement. "How many died in the sack of Troy?" "Definitely at least 10."
I thought none of Odysseus men didn't die at troy tho :0?

I adore that the whole animatics started with Gigi's incredible Horse and the Infant. And then they finish the musical off aswell
The part that has made me cry every single time is when she says "only my husband knew this, so i guess that makes him you". Hurts. Hurts so good.
The way she yells it makes my cry so instantly that i have to take my glasses off
The grit in her voice at that part was amazing and crushing.
The sobs that hinge in Penelope’s voice for the final “waiting” created will be there for life
At 4:40 you can hear a really distinct sound. It is, in fact, my heart being shattered into pieces

Odysseus recounting the entirety of the epic gave me goosebumps.
I love it sm, the brief arts of Penelope waiting for Ody to come home in Gigi's animation was so sad, especially the bed scene :'(
also I first didn't recognize the last animation to be Gigi's due to the colors LMFAO, thankfully I remembered when Odysseus showed up. It's also poetic that Gigi was the final animation.
I didn’t notice this the first time I listened to epic but listen for the motifs
“Left a trail of red on every island” - Poseidon’s ‘ruthlessness’ theme
“As I traded friends like objects I could use” - Zeus’s thunder bringer theme
“Hurt more lives than I can count on my hands” - this theme first plays in ‘Scylla’ with the words “give up your honour and faith” then again in mutiny with ‘there is no price he won’t pay’

I love how Penelope shows Odysseus just how ridiculous it was for him to doubt himself and their love like she was testing him at the end and he passed I love odypen sm😭❤️

The Ithaca Saga shows great ambition in weaving its epic narrative through music, but parts of the production feel rushed, leaving some storylines underdeveloped and transitions abrupt. However, the closing song is a standout moment, showcasing a depth of emotion and musical craftsmanship that captures the essence of the saga beautifully. Leaning more into this level of quality and pacing throughout could elevate the entire production. Overall my honest review would be that this shows great potential and could even be a great play. Even though it has its flaws, as do many great things, this saga has truly been an epic (no pun intended) journey and has formed a great community and built a lot of roads. Thank you for this, and good luck on any and all future endavours. :)
