Way, way back in the early eighties, I remember getting the high score on Q*bert in the arcade at the mall. I’ve always remembered it: 1,707,070. I was there 3 or more hours. My mom kept coming back to see if I was still playing and finally got fed up and began to drag me out. I had to kill off all my extra guys, which took a few more minutes. The guy working there (yeah, there was somebody actually running the arcade of about 15 games) told me he wouldn’t register my score until the game was over. 1,707,070 is what I ended up with.
EPIC classic game, one of the most iconic ever created during the arcade era. Qbert is a "must have" game in any classic arcade collection. Thanks for the gameplay my friend!
Love and love this game. My highest score is 1 million, six hundred thousand plus. 1,652,045 or so. Sorry I can't remember exactly, I am 50 yrs old. Lol
I would never employ the strategy portrayed in this video ! I have my share of 3 million plus scores, and i always start down the left side, fill in the bottom, drop the first snake at R7, fill in to row three, grabbing Sam as he aopears after Reversa Ugg and Wrong Way, dropping Coily at L3 or R3 if necessary. Usually, i only need two disks, rarely three. I score at a rate of about 32,000 a level, or about 576,000 an hour. I isually quit thpugh after one pass through level 9 which puts my first half hour score at about 242,000.
Has anyone ever figured if the enemies are actually saying anything? Or is it just garbled noise? I'm thinking it might be sythesized words or some sort..

As I think I've said elsewhere on RUclips, I topped a million many times.
