IF YOUR SPEAKER WONT TURN ON, FIRST CONNECT YOUR AC ( CHARGER) THEN HOLD DOWN THESE THREE BUTTONS FOR 8 SECONDS "BLUETOOTH, POWER, AND PLAY BUTTON" AND THEN THAT RESETS YOUR SPEAKER. YOUR SPEAKER SHOULD TURN ON NOW. UNPLUG YOUR AC (CHARGER) 👍
My harman kardon onix mini speaker had a crash while working, the two internal speakers work well, do not distort and apparently are not damaged, but the two passive radiators or suspensions no longer move and do not emit deep bass, check the passive radiators and they do not They have cracks nor are they detached. The plastic of the casing was not damaged. What could it be? Could it have to do with the sealing of the device?
My friend, I made exactly the same as you, the onyx studio worked and when I connected it to the power it no longer turned on, only the Bluetooth button stays on.
Hello, I made exactly the same arrangement, with the difference that I also changed the factory battery and I left put 5 of 2200mAh. Now the battery lasts about 8 hours, the problem is that I can not use it connected to the power because it automatically shuts down. What problem can it be ?, I can only use it with charged batteries. Please help me Sorry for the English
this is all wrong . the additional batteries need to be connected to the original battery terminals . the original battery is charged by a charging regulator , doing it the way you have will result in overheating and maybe fire . you can not connect the added batteries to the board as shown . the unit will not work correctly
@@DIYBill ...no, it isn’t - it is connected directly to the charging cable, bypassing the BMS chip (battery management system) - what you did, is a proper chop-shop job, and a potential fire hazard. No, no, no, and for a thousands times NO
I have one of these but it wont charge and when i used the power cord it still wont turn on. I had to take out the battery and charge it with a portable battery charger. Any advices on how to fix it.
The battery of mine completely died. So I replaced it with a new 3.7 V 3,000mah. I did this myself and now the battery works however the bass does a loud buzzing sound. What caused that? Any ideas how to fix? Thanks
Thank you for replying! Sorry what do you mean by “ground wire”? Do you mean the cables in the back connecting to the system? Sorry I’m not very tech savvy 🥺 also I’m sure the speaker is not blown, before I dismantled it it was working perfectly, now just buzzing sound with bass so maybe something is not attached right in the back, just not sure what it is...
I'm wondering if one of the new cables you installed is touching that bass relief thing on the back of the unit, or if it's vibrating on something else inside the case.
Will this work for the studio 3? More concerned that I get the correct batteries for my model. Also, the white cable that used to append the positive and negative parts -- was this a specific cable that we should be looking to buy?
Aldo Lambruschini hello. The batts I’ve used are from a used laptop pack. I used a Charger to check if they are giving at least 2000mah capacity. You can go for new batts also. Make sure you are buying genuine batts.
WARNING..!!! This mod can/will destroy your Harmon Kardon speaker!! Here's why. The built in factory 18650 battery in the compartment, that is not shown in this video has a small charging circuit attached to the battery and is covered with tape. This mod completely bypasses that circuit! Don't believe me, read the comments section where these speakers fail after this mod. Avoid this mod at all costs.

A Makita Battery adapter order off eBay and of course a 12v Makita Battery on the adapter it has a red positive wire and a black negative wire screw the bath adapter to the back outside top of the speaker. The red wire from the adapter run it inside the speaker and the black one to red wire goes to the red wire that corresponds with the main inlet power supply not the battery and the same with the black. This will play for 4 to 5 hours at the highest volume as if it were plugged in but keep in mind its only 15 minutes to charge 100% so you need a Makita Battery adapter, a Makita 12v battery and the Makita charge you just unhook it as if it was a drill. The other way plays at low volume and is more complicated.
You have not connected these extra batteries to the BMS, so these extra batteries are not protected against overcharging / undercharging.

Hi
It’s connect to the original battery.
Can I add the same battery as the one used originally ?

Check the ground wires... usually happens on with an exposed or not completly connect ground ...
blown speaker ?

Can 2500 battery can go for this
Thanks for the video. Will you please show how to upgrade battery in Harman Kardon Go + Play? Thank you.
How can i solve the not charging issue i got some battery replacements for it like i can put them in but how will i charge it

The white cable is a plain cable that’s available in store.
I have 3400mAh 18650 batteries. Will they work? I plan on putting 4 in in addition to the one already installed by the manufacturer.
Yes. You can. But don’t squeez too many. I felt 3 were just enough. You might have an impact on the sound.
adding more then 3 you need bms
I need the power harness order polarity schematic
How many additional batteries will the power supply support? I’m worried the the charging current will be too high.
It will only take longer to charge for each battery added!
you should have soldered the wires to the chip, so they are protected!

What brand battery do Harman Kardon use? What kind comes in existing speakers? Thanks

No hay peligro que se dañe el cargador??
el voltaje no cambia, solo aumenta los mAh totales
